I used h3ad's formula in coco, great results and super easy, but I got sick of measuring my pH. I went through multiple pH meters and just didn't feel like calibrating them every week.

I'm now on my first run with Advanced Nutrients pH perfect Sensi Coco. My plants seem pretty healthy and I haven't checked my pH once. 2ml A & B per liter and you're done.

Damn gdood.. jeliouss...

I thought I was sold on the H&G...

But now I'm just thinking it's personal preference...

There is alot of factors to consider with you guys who are arguing...

Lights, environment, CO2
temps.

I'm just looking for something that will be good from

Start to finish..

Are all the additives worth it really??

Does anyone even know what they do?
Hiw do they effect the biology of the plant?

The root enchancers and stuff?

......
Maybe the best root enchancer ect. Is a healthy environment and proper essential nutrients??.....

Damn... tough desition....

CAN SOMEONE THAT SWEARS BY THE LINE..
PLEASE....... RIGHT A POST FROM ABOUT, WHAT, AND HOW Exactly you us the nutrients from

Start to finish ( clone or seed,,, to harvest)

The more info you can put in the better,

I'm really only interested in the Lucas, head formula,

And the house and garden :),

And what do you mean 6/9 (WITH A PINCH???????)
PLEASE explain? :)

 Christ dude, they all fucking work and none of them work unless you want to spend the time READING about them. If anybody ever needed to use K.I.S.S it's you. Buy a bag of maxibloom, put one scoop of it in a gal of water and GROW. When you aren't growing spend your time READING about nutrients. Yer mommy don't post here:biggrin:

Easiest thing ever: from rooted clone or established seedling feed 1 tsp per gallon of maxibloom and adjust pH if needed (I need to use 1 tsp of pH down per 25 gallon res, so not much) and you'll grow some fire.

That's White Fire OG.

Like I said earlier, I only use House and Garden coco A + B, calimagic(ro water) and drip clean in flower. I use Roots excel in veg. Additives are not needed as shown by my results. They can be useful but base nutrients can achieve the same results.

Clones get a weak 0.4-0.5 EC solution
Teens/mom's stay in the 0.8-1.0 EC range
Flowering plants get anywhere from 1.2 to 1.8 EC in flowering depending on what week I'm in, the size of the plants, and what I think they can handle.
Always ph at 5.8-6.0
I run a constant 0.2 EC of calimagic because I use RO water.

Environment should be your #1 priority before anything else though.

As for roots excel, well, you tell me what you think....

Damn... that's a nary root ball,

Man... that maxi sounds good... But

Idkk... I'm more confused then ever lol,

I really could use simple.. I'm soo busy I have so much going on, I just want something that works without problems...

I couple questions? ??

1. For house and garden.. do you just mix equal parts??? I've seen the chart and it just list Ppms and not the doesage of the two indivudualy?

2.for the Lucas formula?
Do you do the same 6/9 ratio through out, so in small plants you would do,,,, sayyy 2/3 or something...
And
is that just the base? I understand you can use only that.. BUT is that BASICALLY a base and you COULD add additives to it??

3 for maxibloom... idk anyone have anything bad to say about it?

4I use RO water, should I always put calmag in regardless of the nutrient line???

Yes, you use equal parts A and B for house and garden. As for calmag and RO it just depends on your nutrient regimen and how much calcium and magnesium is in it to begin with. House and garden's lines weren't developed for RO.

Righto! As well as the individual need for each strain ...

They'll let you know.

Although too much calmag is tough to distinguish and isn't well documented.

If you think you are dealing with a too much calmag scenario massage me and well figure it out as I had no online resources for my calmag overdose because most sites said it was barely possible and listed no symptoms.

Jack, you should probably follow stoned40yrs advice. You have a bunch of issues going on and are going in a ton of different directions at once. Nutes are as complex or as simple as you make them, but going with a complex system and using it badly will result in worse results than some simple straightforward thing done well or even adequately. Just a gallon of water and a scoop of maxibloom or whatever, check that the ph is 5.7-5.9, adjust accordingly. Calibrate your PH meter often, I have a cheap one and it moves .1 or .2 in either direction every few weeks. Buy the calibration solutions, do not attempt to mix any powders or use the bs methods found online. Small bottles should last pretty much forever as you just dip into it, it doesn't get used up.

Isolate one issue at a time. That is about as straightforward as you can get on nutes and you can then move on to fixing other issues.

Also, from what i gather if you use RO you pretty much have to add in calmag.

edit: then trust this dude below me:) I have no personal experience, just passing along heresay.

edit again: I don't really understand the logic...but per some thread I just read it is a bad idea to reuse calibration solution. Personally I am going to keep reusing for a while, but i think i need to reevaluate my "pretty much lasts forever" statement.

Nah, maxibloom usually has enough calcium and magnesium to use with RO. At least for me.

Edit: my last grow was heavy feeding indicas and they never needed cal-mag, just maxibloom

The grow before that one was blue dream and I thought I had a calcium deficiency but it wasn't, it was calcium lockout from too much bloom booster. I think a lot of people when first switching to coco (like me) will have this stigma in their head about coco and cal-mag, but I have put that out of my head and had much more success.

Sounds like you're over complicating it for yourself, maybe even moving too fast.

Never stop reading, once your temps & humidity are dialled in, the rest is pretty much gravy.
I remember when I was starting out, I jumped in at the deep end. It wasn't long before I regretted it. I murdered several White Widow clones. I started playing with too many variables at once instead of using a process of elimination and subsequently, things became worse.
I hit the books (Forums) printed out info I considered valuable and had success after.
I stopped for 10 years now I'm back at it.
Using GH Floraseries at 6/9 in tapwater (120ppm) coming at at 700-800ppm .5ec. PH'd to 5.7 to 6.2 and my plants are flawless, well with the exception of a little tip burn as I shot them with Liquid Koolbloom. That and Floralicious plus from time to time are all they get.
Young one's get Florablend & Rapid start before moving on to 1/2 strength 6/9 when looking hungry.
I feel it's about giving them just enough for what they need. I'm not into heavy feeds with lots of boosters. That's my personal preference though..

Keep it simple. Stoned40yrs is telling you straight up.

Yeah I'm either going maXi bloom,

Or flora series 6,9

As I already have alot of the additives for GH

I def. Grew from all this advice.

I feel, mentally, I progressed!

I just got a new tent!
new 1000w light,

I'm trying to get clones for it now i think I'll make a journal on this one!

And I really need to get around to posting pics on my current grow! I'm a couple days into flower things are going.... pretty well..
