Nutrient Schedule for Autoflowers.

brom,
I've heard from many growers that AFs tend to like neuts even less than other plants.
Also, unless ur growing in a soilless mix, the medium itself will have enough nutes to last the plant through the vegetative state.
There is a limited capacity to how much nutes a plant can take, and if u push it, u'll get nute burn, or u'll stun ur seedlings.
There is also the case of how much salts u want in ur medium.

The only case where I think nutes should be added would be a soilless mix that is initially devoid of any nutes. Even then, I think the amount to be added should be relatively small.

different af strains will require different amounts of nutrients. im not saying you should over fertilize but i believe if the soil is made as rich as possible (without overdoing it) then the plant can grow to its maximum potential. just something to keep in mind that this short window of time it has for vegging needs to be optimal if you want a good yield.

Just my opinion here but what I've seen done and it seems to work well is put them into their final pot straight off so no transplanting. With FFOF soil you'll be straight on nutrients for about 2 weeks. Starting at 2 weeks old I'd do low ppm GB, TB, BB a couple of runs in week 3-4 then finish it off with nothing but TB, BB and molasses thru harvest with proper flush.

The above is what I've heard works well but I've thought about dosing them with small doses of GB in weeks 5-6 too but I'm just not sure. I just want more veg/stretch!!11!11ONEELEVEN!!!!11

Also, I've found that they do best with 1/2 to 3/4 strength nutrients at most. Personally I like to stick at half. They seem to just simply not need a lot to do well.

Again, I'm a newb and there are guys here that have forgotten more than I'll ever know.

Good luck man!

Full stength GH, only micro and bloom. They grow so fast they can take it, down side is some autos get too big to fast, lowryder ak-47, insane!

since i currently don't have the means to make tea, is ICC's way of growing still a viable means of an example if im not making compost tea but instead just mixing nutes at a scheduled time?

S_a_H,
can you recommend a nute schedule for cocopeat ? I reckon ur growing with coco now and have some good experience with coco&AF.
Cheers

ps: imho, no need to overdo it with the ferts. These plants really dont need alot if ur growing them in soil. As for a soilless mix, we'll have to wait for one of the AF gurus to comment.

Sorry I missed this post or I would have answered before now.

I use the Canna-Coco line and for some reason cannot find the feed chart the give out.

I'll look more later today I need to shower and run some errands.

autos are just like regular plants, if anything u shouldnt have to feed them sqaut if your running soil during veg as its doubtful a 2-3 week cycle is going to deplete any decent dirt of enough N. during flowering once again its business as usual, i went with floranova bloom one part and it was a breeze the whole way through both grow n bloom. id luv to meet the Advanced Nutrient owners and congradulate them on robbing people of money for nothing special, chems are chems, advanced nutes are miracle grow with cal mag added to them and a diff n-p-k ratio nothing more. my advice would be buy a decent nute, ph them, and if u have extra money buy another light, only this is a sure thing of more bud-

Use veg nutes until they show sex.
Use flower nutes until they start to show mostly cloudy trichomes.
Flush until your desired cloudy/amber potency.

I feed my auto after two to three weeks (i look for signs of them needing to be fed like yellowing leaves, light green, curling, etc.) autos dont seem to need too much nutes. i use a 1/4 of the recommended dose and i give them a dose of veg nutes then start on flowering (i use organic soil that pretty much has nutes for the veg peiod of autos) i would say just look and your plants to see what they need and dont overdo it. Its a weed keep it simple.

Amen to that, sounds like you got it figured out. In general, this is one tough, hard to screw up plant, and most of the grow problems I have had, and have seen posted from others, are a direct result of the grower over tending their garden.
