So how do you follow the foxfarm nutrient schedule for autoflowers? The schedule is 12 weeks but autoflowers are 8 weeks, does anybody use foxfarm with their autoflowers?

Good question.. I too wonder.. Also from all I have read, you should use half the recommended amount.. Like if it says 2 tps per gal you should use 1 tsp per gal instead etc???

I've heard of people who wait until approximately week four (whenever they sex) and only use flower nutrients. Also heard of people giving a 1/4-1/8 strength shot of veg nutrients around week two.

I'm trying a few Lowryder #2 and Roadrunner and am probably going to try both ways.

Because of the short life span and fast growth of autos I started my Russian Rocket Fuel AFs on Fox Farm Grow Big right at three weeks, a matter of days after they sexed - foliar feed first, then 1/2 tsp/gal for first watering, and regular strength 1 tsp/gal for third watering. It not only didn't hurt them, they perked right up and are doing wonderfully. They're plowing along at almost an inch a day now, which is more than I expected.

Good to hear, I've been feeding mine along with the rest of my plants according to the schedule. Next feeding I'll start with the flowering nutrients since they've started to sex/flower.

Thanks for the input guys.

Once my AFs show their sex which is usually by the end of the third week, I give them a dose of Grow Big and Big Bloom. After that for the next few weeks its Big Bloom and Tiger bloom along with some worm tea and BMO plant tonic.

Really??? All that at the same time??? That seesm like a lot??? What streangth do you give of each one of these???

So you use the Grow Big just one time and then switch to the Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom?

Thanks for the info...

I use half of the recommended doses. I give them Grow Big just the first time because the plants start to flower after 3 weeks so I switch to the blooming agents. I did this last year with decent results. So far I havent fried my plants which are in their 7th week of growth.
I'm growing Blue Streak, Auto AK X Blueberry & Diesel Ryder. Good luck with your grow.

don't use fertilizer.

Really??? never??? Nothing?? I guess what you really mean is you provide all that is needed when you set up your soil so no need to use any other fertilizer..

With Autos since they grow so fast, I was thinking the same.. Provide in soil setup and then Maybe use Tiger bloom once or twice like 6 weeks in..

do feed them nutrients regularly, they need them. i think what was meant is dont load ur soil up with feritlizers etc as the seedlings/plants cant escape them and will fry

im just doin my 1st auto grow (White dwarf) they are 4 weeks and just sexed, as yet theyve had no nutes as they are in large pots, i will be feeding them BioBloom from now, they are only about 10" , i was under the impression they would finish at around 1 - 2 foot tall so presumably still stretch alot during flower so wasnt sure as to wether they would still benefit from some grow nutes still!?

I'm happy with flo nuts only at 1/2 strenght. Choose a good soil and you'll be ok without veg nuts.

Peace

I'd love to see a comparison grow between advanced nutrients and anything else. I think they are bat shit insane, $700+ dollars in nutrients for a 8 week grow. They gotta be out of their mind.

Has anyone experimented with any fox farm grow big, bloom, etc on these autos?

I was thinking just add in some molasses during the first 2 weeks, then start grow big?

i use standard garden compo, dont feed anything for 3 weeks, normally when they just about to show sex or have just shown sex. then i use ionic bloom and grow. excellent nutrients ive found!

S_a_H,
can you recommend a nute schedule for cocopeat ? I reckon ur growing with coco now and have some good experience with coco&AF.
Cheers

ps: imho, no need to overdo it with the ferts. These plants really dont need alot if ur growing them in soil. As for a soilless mix, we'll have to wait for one of the AF gurus to comment.

my thoughts are a bit different. the vegetative stage is very short and the plant needs to grow as much as possible in this small window of time. in order for this to happen you have to make sure you're feeding as much as the plant can take before it starts budding. many are saying they dont feed anything till this point and it seems strange since the plant really needs as much nutrient as possible so it can grow as big as possible and support largest amounts of flowers. feeding some kelp each watering to induce a bit of stretch so the plant will end up a bit bigger may be beneficial too also i think its important for the plant to be under blue light during the first few weeks for the same reasons. also if you want big plants make sure you're using big pots. although if you do the math i think you can grow just as much using smaller pots and more plants. a 2 liter container will produce around 10 grams and an 8 liter container will produce around 40. plus since they're smaller you can have them closer to the light so it can penetrate the whole plant. sorry getting off topic a bit
