So potassium silicate is better than regular silica? That would mean Growth Technology Liquid Silicon is the one to go for from hydro store options.Potassium silicate and a breeze some air movement.
Potassium silicate 6% is what they say. Which I suppose means 94% water, might check if they have some powder at the hardware store, lawncare section I suppose.i think liquid silicone is soluble silica i use the one above but think they are similar to be honest but thats just my opinion plenty more out there
Title says it all, is there something that makes a definite noticeable difference?
I'm thinking along the lines of silica or something..
Sorry I don't understand what you mean, precipitation?I avoid adding any silica to nutrient solution because I want to avoid any precipitation.
I have had issues with silica "coming out of solution" as pH of nutrient solution rises, which has (for me) caused clogged emitters. I no longer add extra silicon to my nutrient solution. Instead I amend my media with DE or Wollastonite. Rice hulls work too. Check out this article.Sorry I don't understand what you mean, precipitation?
I wonder if Terra Aquatica / General Hydro Silicate would also be this, they say it "offers calcium to the plant" as one of the selling points.Wallastonite or calsil 2655 ?
