Old School Hash
Genetics: Cuban Linx
Grower/Producer: Nugz (Cannara Biotech)
Overall: One to buy
Bag Appeal: It’s a lump of soft (but not oily) black hash But . . . once again . . . they cheapened out and put the hash in plastic. At least this time it didn’t stick.
Smell: strong hashy berry
Taste: sweet incense – just a bit harsh when vaped
Potency: Tested @ 45.0%
Terpenes: Caryophyllene, Terpinolene, Humulene
Duration: 9.0/10
Another Old School review? Sure, this is good hash so it is worth another look. I was gifted this for Christmas from the same kind person who gave me the not-so-good Rip-Strip Hash that I reviewed yesterday. Win one, lose one . . .
This is a well-made dry sift hash from indoor flower grown in Quebec. The Old School series from Nugz comprises numerous revolving strains and every one that I have tried has been good. I may dislike the taste or smell but the hash is always good. No fancy fresh-frozen bullshit here, this is just plain old black hash that looks like it should, smells like it should, tastes like it should and gives you a great buzz. This kind of product is one of the truly good things about legalization. People bitch loudly and incessantly about legal leaf cannabis – dry, tasteless, etc, etc, etc - but you can’t really bitch about a lot of the hash that we are seeing now that the producers have it figured out. I can walk into almost any legal shop anywhere in Canada and find a really nice hash for $15 a gram or less. Nugz, Purple Hills, Community, 3Saints, Jublee, Carmel, Tuck . . . are all brand names that have it worked out. When I see the menus that guys post on the Dutch Coffeeshops thread and I see the prices for locally made hash . . . well . . . it is good to live in Canada. I was only in AMS once, and I have always been jealous of their imported hash selection but those seem to be disappearing there as well. I do like their art museums though . . .
Available @ retail cannabis stores in Canada. $24.99/2 grams
