Bondi single-handedly illegalized non-psychoactive cannabinoids with proven anti-cancer properties, and hundreds of other substances in FL.

You can forget about rescheduling of pot, and I'd expect any actions that could be taken against cannabiz will happen.

Let's see.
Forbes article dated 8/8/2024:
Former President Donald Trump on Thursday suggested he supports decriminalizing marijuana, noting that cannabis is “being legalized all over the country.” Trump made the comments during a press conference at Mar-a-Lago, adding that he will announce his position on a ballot measure to legalize marijuana in Florida “fairly soon.”

“As we legalize it, I start to agree a lot more because, you know, it’s being legalized all over the country,” Trump said, according to a report from Marijuana Moment. “Florida has something coming up. I’ll be making a statement about that fairly soon.”

On the trail 9/8/2024:
“As a Floridian, I will be voting YES on Amendment 3 this November,” Trump wrote Sept. 8 on Truth Social. "As President, we will continue to focus on research to unlock the medical uses of marijuana to a Schedule 3 drug, and work with Congress to pass common sense laws, including safe banking for state authorized companies, and supporting states rights to pass marijuana laws, like in Florida, that work so well for their citizens.”

Trump’s comments came after he predicted on Aug. 31 that Florida voters would secure the 60% supermajority support required to pass Amendment 3 in this November’s election. But Trump didn’t explicitly say he would vote in favor of the ballot measure—primarily funded by Tallahassee-based cannabis company Trulieve—until now.

Trulieve has contributed nearly $83 million of the $90 million donated to Amendment 3 sponsor Smart & Safe Florida, according to the Florida Division of Elections.

Perhaps most notable is Trump’s comments about rescheduling, a Biden reform initiative with significant implications, from the federal government recognizing cannabis has currently accepted medical use in the U.S. to providing state-licensed cannabis companies substantial federal tax relief. Under cannabis’s current Schedule I listing, plant-touching companies are unable to take standard business tax deductions, including payroll, under Section 280E of the Internal Revenue Code.

I see rescheduling of Cannabis and banking reform for the big money players so they can turn dispensaries into retail markets.

There's no love for grow at homies.

Like DJ's MO is all about honesty. What he noted was that MMJ polls well.

In any case, it's not his decision to make, it's in the hands of his appointees and their appointees, and you should know Bondi's position is the opposite of your quotes.

I do know that and I am very aware of Pam Bondi and Rick Scott. I wanted to quote some quotes from 47 for future reference.

I can see it being decriminalized nationally but by no means legalized in the next few years.
That will be left up to the states as always

But like buzz said the fat cats will turn legalization into a monopoly almost instantly

You ready for those harsh marlboro joints with 80 additives 😜

yup. Decriminalization with strictures is not a friendly picture for growers, nor poor folk using medicinal.

Sounds about right.

I'm glad I carry my personal sphere of freedom around my body and weed will always be decriminalized there no matter where I am. They have their rules, I have mine. :smoke:

Yes. This is the spirit that made the weed communities great through prohibition. Now that it’s legal (an overall good), our communities have been flooded with “friends of the man”.

Good point.
Many "friends of the man" legal operators pretty much now say, "don't tread on me, go tread on them over there".

I think if the only two possibilities were...

1) old school prohibition - illegal and throw your ass in jail etc.
OR
2) new school prohibition light- We "allow" you a little bit, but we'll tell you which lines you can't step over and give us money or we'll throw your ass in jail like the old days

...the second one is better than the first.

Those aren't the only two possibilities though. It's a plant, none of their business what the relationship free people have or don't have with it is. I'd much prefer actual freedom over a kinder master.
