I'm a serious chronic pain patient who lives on the edge of taking many more pain meds than I do because of physical therapy and cannabis and without the cannabis I appeared doomed 3 years ago. However I also have a business that's taken 30 years to build and I don't want to use it because I'm too stoned to deal with the characters I have to deal with on a daily basis which consist of mostly professionals.

I found a strain in san jose called "Ingrid". It was a fluke as the person who got it for me told the bud tender we were searching for Afpak kush and this was sold as a replacement which of course it;s not. But it turned out to be wonderful. I can do it during the day and it helps me with my pain mgt but doesn't obliterate my mind. The last batch was 20% thc which I actually liked more than the new one which is 22%.

I'll try to post a picture of it later so you can see what it looks like

Oh, I saw that "harlequin" was mentioned. I also got some of that from harborside in san jose and would not recommend that particular specimen as all it did for me as well as several others was put us all to sleep. Maybe from elsewhere? Harborside in san jose is a sad place these days thanks to what the government is doing.

So you want something that looks good, taste good, smells good, but not to strong eh? Try Subcools lineup.

Something with a good portion of CBD as others have said, I personally would recommend a mostly sativa cross or a nice blueberry or blueberry cross. Nepalese hash plants come to mind when I think of euphoric/happy highs. Certain hashes are very mild as well.

I think you need a strain that tests at around 10% THC and trace amounts of CBD & CBN.

I bet there is a GDP pheno out there that would fit the bill.

I'd tend to agree with the first part, anyway. It probably seems weird asking for something that's not Stronger! & Stonier! Now that it's Colorado legal, people who never were terribly interested are now curious, and people who gave it up years ago to avoid hassles want to come back to it. It'd be nice to accommodate them in a kind & gentle way.

Years ago, I tried to maintain a stash that was good for all occasions, ya know? Party weed, work weed, lock the door & melt into the couch listening to music weed, trip out at 10,000 ft weed, & so forth.

Back then, it wasn't difficult for me to obtain that- I was well connected. Today, I'm utterly *not* connected, & I want to avoid the commercial side of it all as much as possible, just grow it, smoke it, turn people on, have a good time with it.

+1

Just tested my Agent Orange at 13.5% d9-thc, 0.16% d8-thc, 0.40% cbd, 1.60% cbn, for a total of 15.68% cannabinoids. Seems my cut has 1% lower than average d9-THC for this strain. It's great smoke with a nice high that wont blow you out, tastes good, and leaves the room smelling amazing.

I myself haven't experimented with this, but couldn't you control the potency by harvesting earlier? Of course then there's lower yields, but if you make seeds, then just plant more.

Thank you for that- I'll investigate your recommendations. From all over the net, I get the impression that Mandala seeds are a good value & that their descriptions are pretty accurate. I'll know in a few months, as I have a pack of Satori, plan to start it when my second run of autoflowers is near over. $55 for a 10 pack.

Just starting back up after many years, I was curious about autoflowers & it seems like a good way to establish some stash.

Well, that's if my spouse doesn't smoke it faster than I can grow it. Funny what you learn when when you return to cannabis...

Being retired & having enough time to read the MJ forums Mandala comes up a lot for having good quality, reasonably priced genetics.
Only having gotten back into the growing/smoking game because of arthritis 3 years ago my experience is limited but I do remember the strains from the 60's.
Cheers

I also have a feeling that an auto flower strain might be right for this occasion.

Kannabia has a few autos that test at 8-14% THC. Check out auto-afrodite.

They also go from seed to harvest in under 90 days.

Maple leaf indica, that sounds like a pleasant smoke as well. Forgot to mention that, but don't grow it illegally. I don't mean to give illegal advice.

Second the MLI. Floaty happy social indica high. Great taste and fills the room with a very nice fruity incense smell.

AF´s make me paranoid, just a bit. Auto Leemon Kush is the best one to my experience.

Mandala #1
I find to be a good daytime medicine, energy producing in place of couch lock.
Mandala's hardiness is a JOY to behold in the garden also!!!

Hey MG, I'm not a medical user myself and can't speak from that experience but every time I step away from the M1 for a few days and then come back, I always wonder why I ever grow or smoke anything else. I know variety is the spice of life but It's kinda like sometimes I think I want to concentrate on finding something really special out of several packs of Mandala #1 and be done with hunting.

Wonder why the Boo has been out for so long and when they plan to restock? Mandala site has shown seeds in stock for weeks but not at the seed boutique?

I usually give my light smoking friends some Kali Mist....but only a little. 4 tokes is all for you, lightweight. No, you won't need any more. Trust a grandpa.

But I have also been known to pass around a Neville's with C-99 bubble sprinkled on it at a party...without telling anyone. Leave a trail of devastation like a tornado.
