a few days ago i mixed up a gallon of guano tea in a gallon jug with a little bit of air space to make it easier to shake up, which i did a few times daily. is it okay i let it sit this long? it seems like everyone bubbles their teas. this is the first time i will have fed plants a tea i didn't brew immediately before hand..

Hey Pseudo- It's my understanding that many add a carb source and bubble guano teas in order to encourage beneficial microbial growth. I would say that if your jug smells all right (my guano tea often smells like nothing or maybe a little like nice dirt) it will not hurt your plants. As far as your goal with the tea (what stage are you in??) if its just the NPK, I think you will have accomplished it. I say go ahead if it smells ok. Take care.

hi henrietta, thanks for the quick response. yes, i have added molasses in the past, right now i'm about a week from flowering. the guano i use for the end of veg has a nice amount of both nitrogen and phosphorous, and smells a lot worse than the bat guano i use after i've been flowering for awhile, which has little to no smell.

Teas, and catalysts like Earth Juice are also bubbled in order to stabilize the pH. Once it is stabilized, followed by usage, it's impacts on the system pH(causing of pH fluctuation) is kept to a minimal.

i used to do this before i started brewing teas with fantastic results. you got it down pretty much, i would mix in a gallon jug, shake as often as i could 3-4x daily. let soak for 24 hours then applied to plants. one thing though DO NOT let it sit longer than 24. it can get REAAAALLLLY rank and smelly. and it will hurt your plants. 18-24 hours about seemed to be key. when doing this little but often is better. i would feed every other day but light and the plants were so green compared to other methods. a little bit of molasses or unrefined sugar helps but its not needed. anaerobic teas can be good as well if done right.

im probly going to get shit for that lol **** it :joint:

Teas when left to sit with out oxygen for too long will get smelly some times real smelly. The smell yer sniffing is all the microbes in the brew turning from aerobic to anaerobic.Sounds complicated but its really not its basically bad microbes simply integrate the tea with oxygen and the mix will again turn aerobic pretty simple really. The more bubbling oxygen the more healthy friendly microfarmers to help you out 24/7.How could billions of years of soil microbes be wrong?Peace and good luck!!
