I kept a NL mom from Sensi for some year, one of my favorite smokes
But mine had an slightly berry taste. And stank at the end of flower!
One of the smelliest strains I ever had.

Had a good one from Genehtik Seeds too. Also stank.
But the Sensi was better

Here are the Sensi NL mutants. Not much to offer other than they did pull through once mature growth was able to push through but thisbset them back about 3 or 4 weeks of veg growth.

These little buggers look fine to me :woohoo:. Sensi still puts out a great product well worth the price tag. People complain about the price but you for sure get what you pay for, some of the originals are still the best. Give them a try you won't be ripped off.

@ john 54, i was going to go with the sensi seeds, but it was the price that got me. They wanted $137 for ten seeds and Royal Queen was $80 for ten.

Happy side note, I'll be running one to two Zamaldelica and one or two Malawi. So it will be a festive mix.

I had ran Northern Lights for over a year a couple years ago. I was in the same boat as you in trying to decide which breeder and as soon as I had my mind set, wham another interesting suggestion had popped up from someone else. I said fuck it and shoveled out the cash for a 5 pack of Sensi's NL.

Now that being said, I have heard tons of BAD reviews but knew where some of the best Northern Lights had originated in the past. So I bit the bullet and germed them, all 5.

Every pheno was very vigorous, short and stocky. Could handle about any mistake you threw at them. They were very big yielders of rock hard sugar covered buds. -But... Out of all 5 phenos, they were all exactly the same (I mean very stable) except for one. She finished a bit quicker than the others and the buds were a more light green and VERY stinky, straight up fruity skunk.

The other 4 phenos that were all the same finished about a week later than that specific one and it came in at 50-55 days. They all smelled of sweet, earthy and spiciness. Maybe a bit peppery.

I later found out the special pheno I decided to keep was the NL#5 pheno and man was I lucky to find her... She turned everyones head that smoked her and people begged for more. The high stood out as well compared to the other four. She had an extremely intense fast onset that kicked you in the face and buzzed your head for about 30 mins solid and then leveled out to an intense body high with noted euphoria that stuck around for 2 plus hours... The others were more on the just average body/couch lock high that was deeply relaxing.

I remember the first time I tried the NL#5 as a wake in bake. Took a 2 day quick dried nug and ripped a bowl and sit down on the couch looking out the window at the sunrise glaring through the trees. The washing machine was going in the background filling with water and all of a sudden this intense warmth pulled each corner of my lips back to the cheesiest smile i'd had in months as my eyes drooped down to a chink. I shut my eyes and I swear to this day, the sound of the water from the washing machine I could literally intensely hear it in my head and it just sounded like a water falls humming inside my brain, tingling and massaging every feelgood piece of matter there. It was a rush you could feel, almost like a tidal wave of sound but a feeling if you get what I mean.

I immediately ran and harvested her and a few days after she dried enough to start curing I grabbed a couple of grams and I drove a few miles to the waterfalls in the mountain and lit a big hog leg up.... Next thing I know I was in a tropical island meditating in the air with big Buddha and ecstacy flowing through my veins...

I unfortunately lost this cut and I wonder sometimes if it was an extremely rare cut or just that special one that will never come back or cant be found again. I have smoked tons of strains and buds but hardly anything ever compared to this one... It was in a league of its own.

Here is a few pics, the ONLY ones I have left, wish I had the whole plant but I dont and these were taken with the original seed run. After I ran the cuts from her I learned that for some reason she started purpling up really good in the hues and calyxes for some reason, the seed never done this?

Here is what little pics I have.... R.I.P. You were my princess!!!!

BTW she yielded very well... They all did. The others a bit more than her. She had a better yield than the other four phenos, if they were grown in 3 to 5 gallon containers. But, the other yielded much higher than her in the SOG style... She had many many almost baseball size nuggets everywhere, whereas the other were more longer dense colas. So if you get this pheno, I wouldn't recommend running her in a SOG.

I would definitely use LST or scrog with her though. Topping or training is acceptable as well... She is one of those bitches that likes to be touched everyday, all the time if ya know what I mean... A real nympho she was!

I know I said my keeper had the sweet fruity skunk smell but now that I read where you spoke of the berry smell once it was cut, dried and cured a tad mine had a lot of berry overtones as well.

I ran the vision seeds nl auto. While I'm sure its not the direction your going I have to say it was a really nice plant. It very much surprised me for being an auto.

@ Mountain, thanks for sharing that great info man. Hearing the way you talk about your special NL lady, makes me wonder if that's not what I was puffin on the first few times I got high. The biggest standout of that smoke to me, was just how "tweaked" (best way I can describe it) my hearing. It made hearing my favorite music, even better. And I've never had it to that degree since then. I know any weed makes music better, but this was on another level. Seeds should be here within the next two weeks, and I'll be popping those seeds asap, I'll be sure to drop a link in this thread to the journal.
