hey bro- you seem very nervous to be buying seeds from this company-i have not run thier gear in awhile, but i was very pleased with them around '02 or so. that was thier big blue. if your not sure you can run dr atomics nl or nl/blue. both companies are good- or plop down the extra dough and try sensi-they were the first to market NL i believe. good luck...sub

Yo thanks a lot Sub. I'm currently running Hashberry, and I was feeling a bit nervous about that since some people lacked potency, but I've decided to just grow it with love and enjoy it. It's gonna be good, and I'm taking a few months off probably waiting for it to finish, so it will definitely light me up nicely. I'm going to go for Sensi's Northern Lights, it seems most likely they would have the most superior version, both because its really f ucking expensive and because they had access to the original genetic lines of NL. Thanks for helping me finally decide. [EDIT] Northern Lights also finishes a full two weeks faster than the Hashberry, and I think with 600 watt lights I should be able to hit the faster finishing time.

Peace,
~Skylined

cool man, didn't realise the real NL5 was available to smoke in the coffeeshops, how was the taste?

yeah certain pheno's of NL#5xHaze are very special, funnily enough the best 1 i've ever smoked (for taste + high) wasn't 1 of the more hazier pheno's - smelled like those lime + chocolate boiled sweets when in the jars, but tasted of straight pine through and through:joint:

anyone here ever do the seedsman version of the northern light ? they already have the original sam skunk #1 and they pretend their nl is a very old (sssc) .

they claim their version is an indica dom that go at 45-55 days .

anyone with input might be appreciated . i want to rerun nl but from what im told and what io see when peeps show mee what they call nl , i got some kind of doubt about the purity or the selection that is not representative of the nl i used to grow 20 years ago from sssc .

Heard nothing good out of Sensi these days. I'd be leaning towards Atomic NL.

Well, i'm going to let you know, as i'm going to be growing some of their stuff soon, starting with the nl#5/haze, and then probably silver haze and shiva skunk. Jack flash might pop along aswell. I won't be able to tell you if they were as good as they used to be, as i wasn't growing then, and doubt i ever got any good bud on the streets, but if the weed is good, i'm happy. I'm really looking forward to my nl#5/haze, its in the fridge, and i'm hoping to find a killer mother plant.

Alot of the stuff i hear bad about sensi seems just rumours anyway. I don't think they have lost any of their parents, they been around for too long to be that foolish. I think the only problem they have, is they can no longer do any of the growing and breeding work in the sensi castle place. Alot of it i guess is outsourced, and perhaos these growers and their conditions are not as dialed in as when sensi were doing the lot themselves. Outsourcing is not a bad thing though, loads of companies do it, dna, lowlife and loads more. So i'm happy with sensi, just wish they did 5 pqcks or dropped the price a bit. lol.

I hope your right, I hate to think of a company like Sensi going by the way side. Best of luck to you on your grow, that nl#5xhaze should be something special!

u'll find NL5 a component of many of some of the great crosses ...one of the most stable base strains out there next to sam's Sknk1.

put NL5 crossed with Skunk1 and u have what 50% of the growers up in canada grow ...sometimes called M39 which produces some nice blueberry scented buds with the right pheno ....NL5 is an all around workhorse , never fail girl with very good yields & good resin production though lacking in the aroma dept which was the failing of NL line . One of the greatest stable strains out there tho which is what tamed the Haze along with the Sknk1 to give a more indoor friendly version of the haze we all know & love as SSH .

Question is, who's version is best!?:joint:

i dont want to burst your bubble but bcsc advertise their nl 5 in the 90 has a f2 of sensi seeds circa 1992 .

this was totally documented in the old cannabis canada/cultures early edition where the bcsc was know to the general public for the first time . as being the pure pwn nl....no its a descendant of dutch manipulation and croses from the pwn cut aka sssc then sold to sensi that messed up every strain from sssc .

Sensi Seeds

Sensi Seeds

This is a little off-topic because the subject is NL, but my recent experience with Sensi has been a disaster. Bought a pack of Mothers Finest. I really wanted to grow this variety because it's supposed to be a great sativa that grows and finishes like an indica. MF had virtually all 10's for potency on the old Overgrow strain review site. I even bought non-feminized seeds to try it even though I pretty much only use feminized now.

The bottom line: 0 out of 10 seed seeds popped! It wasn' my fault. Along with them 4 out of 4 Satori, 2 out of 2 CH9 SSh and 9 out of 10 CH9 Jack seeds popped.

The problem may have been with the seed vendor, but I saw another report in which 0 out of 10 Sensi seeds popped.

I really wanted to try Mothers Finest but I won't be shopping with Sensi any more.
