Nordic/Danish outdoor strains and genetics

Gunnarguchi, Thanks for the primo outdoor genetics. Now is a great time for them to be on the 'bay since most people are startin' to gear up for the spring and summer.

I'll be growing at around 41 degrees N, and even though it isn't a nordic or harsh climate, it has been known to snow by the middle of Oct. Having something tough, and fast finishing to harvest will only make the job easier.

Thanks again.

41 degrees then they will probably be even earlier at your latitude due the shorter days
our longest day is mid of june with more than 17 hours of sunlight and the strains have adapted to that
shorter days earlier in the season should also mean they are trickered to flower earlier
one of the earliest i know of is the Early dane which has medium size and a very good resin coverridge
her earliest phenoes can be harvested here from mid August at 55 northern latitude
how much earlier at 41 i cant tell
royal dane is harvested in September ranging from early to late depending on each season
Danish passion at end september
leb27 at late september start november and afghan from about mid october
early dane is very promising due to both a very early harvest, its size for guerrilla grows and a good resin production so im going to do some breeding with her this season for crosses to try next season
most of them are early enough for being grown and harvested deep inside corn fields so thats what im focusing most on
i like to get more fresh seeds from the afghan too but then i have to use a forest guerrilla spot which means less secure and a lot more work as the soil have to be amended in order to just a decent harvest
in corn no amendment is necessary as the soil is plowed an fertilized by the farmer

ive already send beans to ppl from foreign countries and i hope some of the seedbay buyers will be from more exotic latitudes as im very exited about how they will do there
how much earlier they will finish and how much yield and potency will differ from being grown here

later on ill also stock some on seedbay for a regular stock until they run out
hopefully they will last until i can harvest again as im only able to restock once a year as they dont perform very well indoor so an indoor seed grow is more expensive and i cant select in the same way as outdoor where the flowering comes more gradually and ables for better selection

You are a great source of knowledge.

We'll see how some RD and/or DP work out at 41 degrees. Growth and development can be documented along with details about weather, site, etc. :yummy: It will be a guerrilla grow in the woods (temperate deciduous forest).

I would kill for some of those early flowering seeds...

hehe, no reason for such drastic measures

theres a few packs of Early Dane, danish passion, leb27 and royal dane up on seedbay at the 4/20 auction
they run out 1 day and 10 hours from now

later there will be a more steady supply up for regular seedbay sales as long as stock last

i think the genetics has deserved being available internationally for a long time but its been too hard to get them as a few Nordic seed banks have had them, but not in one place and some of them have restrictions for international buyers

when i see which strains and crosses most ppl wants i can adjust to that and breed new seeds for next season according to the most wanted ones

gunnarguchi, any idea on why the early dane isnt in stock over at DCF? They have the royal danes and all the others but not the Early Danes

Is the Early danes way earlier than the royal danes? Im from "fjellabe" land so I need them to be even quicker than you guys down there @himmelbjerget since we got an even shorter season than you lot hehe ;)

no DCF dont have the Early Danes
no one else ahs for that matter
they where gifted to me by a breeder that had some nice strains that had been kept and bred in his family for many years
in 08 he he lost his plants and seeds due to some tragic circumstances
i send him some of the seeds i had harvested but havent heard from him since and i dint think others from the community have.

Early dane is af ew weeks earlier than royal dane
they are not related even though name might suggest it
althoug the ED has a somewhat similar smell as RD its isnt as strong in smell as RD
ED might grow into a really huge plant but it will deliver better yield, taste and potency compared to any lowryder cross in only a few more weeks

hello,

i just love these danish strains. as i live in Belgium with also its cold climate these strains are a great experience.

Hey Gunnarguchi, have been trying to contact you: do you offer these seeds also in bulk quantities?, want to replicate your big outdoors project this summer.

regards.

Has any of you Danes grown Maffe's 420 auction cross, E-Rocket/Danish Passion X Purple Princess? Just scooped a pack of these the other day and Im pretty excited to finally gotten got some Danish purple genes(Esbe/Maffe). They are 2 growers/breeders I have a lot of admiration for.

Anyway Id love to hear some reports on it and some pics if anyone got any. I plan to grow them outdoors, but was wondering how hard they would be to control indoors? Would 1 plant take up the whole closet? I want to run 1 female inside I think.

Also any estimates of when harvest time will be outside at 40-41 N latitude.

Pumped up to get these beans!! Cant wait til Gypsy gets them here so I can pop em!

right on brother I just found this, fuckin awesome dude. That Danish Passion/end of Sep. looks bad-ass. This is truly cool man. I think I may want to work on something in the future based on one of these and I could name it Freyja or something. And win the Cannabis Cup. :abduct:

man i'm really curious about the early dane strain. it looks like its really sativa! and thats crazy that it finishes in august. at around 44 latitude i think or maybe its longitude lol how ever north i am is around 44 and i think a cross with mabye a little longer flowering would be a wonderful alternative to longer flowering pure sativas! for my area anyway. lol i keep posting on this thread i should shut up

danish passion, Early Dane, leb27, Thyphoon, Royal Dane, Royal dane x erocket/danish passion and maybe also some of the crosses from my own garden will be available at seedbay and maybe also a few other places
soon

i already shipped Thyphoons and leb27 to a dealer not long ago and ill be sorting more seeds and sending to seedbay also soon
just very busy doing many things right now and SB wants germination tests for each strain so i guess they will be available in 2-3 weeks at seedbay
