Noob with BIG problems

Those plants are perfectly recoverable, the trick is going to be maximizing soil removal while minimizing root damage in teh process. I'd do it sooner rather than later.
I don't know where the OP lives, but if you're east of the Mississippi and feelin' cheap, go to Agway for your medium- I've been happily growing in their bagged composted manure and humus mix, cut by 30% with perlite, ever since I found the stuff. It holds ROCK steady pH at 6.8 and drains fabulously when cut with lightener. It's $2.50 for 40#... happy happy joy joy...

woot thanks, i found one near by so ill give em a call to see if they carry it.

do you have more seeds? you honestly will be better off starting new ones.... it will certainly be faster than those coming back around, imho.

Cannabis is very resilient plant and can bounce back as long as the problem is fixed and they are not seedlings with less then 2 sets of leaves :)

most of the time 2 sets of leaves or less they have a higher chance of not coming back after a beating :)

ask for 'manure with humus' ... it's a nice medium, but too hot for seedlings before their first transplant (just FYI). The Farfard seedling mix that the farmers supply carries is good for that. It's just a 'thing' I have; I get a little annoyed at companies charging $15 for a bag of DIRT! haha

update

Alrighty, just transplanted the two sicker ones into Fox Farm Ocean Forest (my hydro shop didnt have happy frog) mixed with a real good amount of perlite and vermiculite. I also flushed with PH balanced water to help them not get burned.

The roots looked well when i was transplanting, nice and white. So hopefully things will turn around for them!

They should start to to recover now; keep us posted :)

If they do not recover and start growing soon; they are stunted forever and they will need to be pitched.

That is one thing I would like to know why cannabis does...... the first month is like always critical.... if they get badly stunted by over watering or bad soil or other means..... when you fix it or if you do not fix it quickly they end up being stunted and stay that way and do not grow but use nutrients in there leaves slowly..... it's like they do not absorb anything but water and somehow block all nutrient uptake.... weirdest thing I ever seen........ I had 3 plants do that to me...... I think I got the pics in my gallery.

new green growth on all of em, and the sickest perked up a lot :D
also looks like the two bigger ones are starting to show sex, too early to differentiate though i think. Hopefully females! :friends:

Oh goodie; keep us posted and post some of those pics :)

You can get a microscope with a light and put it up where it is showing sex..... females have a teardrop shape or like a pear...

males have a ball shape with a curl like finger above the ball.... looks like a backwards 6...

alright well the two weaker ones have fallen =( They were showing promise but it appears that they got burned bad from the nutes I guess in the Fox Farm Ocean Mix.
The last one is holding on, but im assuming it's suffering from nute burn as well? Honestly should i just kill it?

I've only been watering it every other day with plain 6.5 PH water. And i know the lights look close, but i've got two fans on the little guy and the heat isn't a problem and the leaves don't touch.

I've started 2 more seeds, i can only hope they have a better start. Once they sprout would it be alright to start them in a paper cup full of mostly vermiculite/perlite/sphagnum moss and a teeny tiny bit of the Ocean Mix?
I trying to learn my lesson about over ferting :spank:

Naw, that mix is going to have a nasty low pH from the sphagnum peat. And the ocean forest as you know is quite fert-y.

Try the Farfard seedling starting mix that a lot of garden centers carry. Or any seedling starting mix that is not pre-ferted. If you can only find pre-ferted ones, peat-pucks (yes they are pH adjusted, phew!) or rapidrooters work fine. I know RRs are pricy but IMHO very well worth the cost in peace of mind.

You've got one heckuva N lock-out going... if that were my plant I'd hit it with a foliar of a 50% rec. strength complete grow fert just to try and keep it alive, and feed it with a VERY weak grow fert. But at this point keep yer fingers crossed... and even if it does pull through, chances of permanent stunting or later herming from all the stress are pretty high.

Alright, that plant is dead now, he was too weak. Since then i've got a new setup. It gives me a lot more space and I'm very excited about it :jump:

I put my two new sprouts in there. They are in a mix of mostly perlite, vermiculite, and a tap bit of the moss, with a very small amount of the fox farm mixed in at the bottom of the cup. They are 4 days old, and I had the fan on low on them a few hours for the last 2 days. This morning though I found one of them completely bent in half at the soil line. I think it got that stem rot? (sorry no pic of that one, threw it out before i thought to make a post.) The other one seems fine, what do you guys think? I sprayed a bit of neem oil at the base just in casem, I've also turned the fan off til it gets bigger.

it's curling upwards today. What could this be, underwatering? I'm just afraid to overwater as i don't want this one to fall over too, but it does seem like the mix does get dry real quick. I lightly spray it with balanced water a few times a day.

10k, no i havent been feeding them anything, but that one in that pic i did feed FF Grow Big. Those guys are all RIP now though :(

They are in paper cups with drainage holes in the bottom. They are in a mix of perlite and vermiculite, and i added a tiny bit of the Fox Farm Ocean Mix soil to the bottom of the cups where they could reach it once they get bigger. They are under 2 CFL's right now, about 6 inches away. The temp is always about 70-75, and really no humidity that i can tell.

the leaves of the sprout are folding in half long ways upwards, and just appear to be getting dryed out. Also a bit of light green in the veins, not sure if this is a bad thing on sprouts. I'll try to get a better pic soon, sorry my cam is crapola.
Thanks guys!
