If they grow to much you can just get busy with the sissors. I have to trim mine down constantly. I keep them Bonzai style.
Yes Adorama for the vents. TY Jnugg

Awesome, thats what I'm aiming for as well, i would a imagine you could keep it pretty small using that method. I'm wondering if i would be able to keep 2 going on that bottom shelf?

If you do not mind I will show you a picture of how I keep mine. None of them are over 8" high.

My cab is 32" wide and those are 6x6x8 pots. They are under simple 2 foot T-5HO's, 6500k, 192 watts.

I was wondering where you get those I could use a couple, I have a DIY one out of rigid sheet insulation that works but this would be a lot better with less space. Thanks Jnugg for posting that link.

No problem Hotboxes.I actually used those darkroom louvers on my Mills Pride c-13 Back in the og days.I started out using 2" OD PVC but that took up a lot of floor space so switched these. Now I grow in a tent though.

Quite the tree trunk on them bonsai moms...good job.

Thanks for those comments guys.
A few of those are over 1 year old. Not real old but they are getting there.
Constant trimming and 3 times a year root prune will keep them small. I have only needs for a couople of clones at a time from any one plant so this size is perfect for me.
You should be able to keep about 4 moms in there or more depending on how big you end up making that space.
I posted this to show you it does not take much size to produce sweet meds in the end. I figured since your in a cab you won't need many clones either so this style may work well for you. Plus it is fun maintaining them.

Love it when you see people root nugs. Looks so strange. My reveg of my Afgooey mom was wild. There were a couple weeks there I would have challenged you to see that it was a pot plant. The new growth was not very potypical.

Was wondering about the the root pruning, so a few times a year then. What are some signs that they need to be pruned?
Same here, this isn't a huge operation, mostly personal. A few clones at any one time is all I need. Though it would be fun to push the limits of this cab once I'm more familiar.

I do not wait for signs I just do it on a regular basis. You will probably see slowed growth, possible onset of flowering, yellowing of lower leaves and stunted new growth. Best just to get on a schedule and keep it that way.

LOL this is what I had to do this round I was Really baked one night and threw out my clone list in my notes and had males and females mixed with out knowing what was what I had to pitch them and start over they all had roots like 4 inches long ready to go into the coco, now my clones have bud crowns with crystals waiting for roots again oh well shit happens right.....

Ouch...but yeah, shit happens.I wasn't planning on keeping the plant the lil rooted nugg came from till I noticed it's bud structure and resin production.Once she revegetates and gros a lil I'll take more cuts of her so there's always a backup mom.
