I really would appreciate a dark mode or something like this also. I know this has nothing to do with the subs but, thats also a point for me atleast. Esspecially in the late hours wachting the white background is pretty hard for my stoned eyes. 
i tried a few one from web but always the site looking kinda shit with the colors and stuff, maybe if its easy for you i would like it.

You can't really have the UK and Scotland as separate things, without changing UK to England, and adding Wales and Ireland. All 4 together are the UK.
Scrap the lot for me. It's not as if we speak a different language. Though chatting within the same customs union can be handy. Mainly when it comes to supplies available to us.
Perhaps it's my lack of interest, but the waffle area is lots of the same, and I didn't even know Tokers Den was the main umbrella, and not Speakers Corner. The entire hierarchy over there is mystical to me. Though I like have the Ladies area, so they feel catered for.

Sorry to quote just this bit, but one of the things I like is that I know where to go exactly, and what to avoid. I have no interest in wading through, or contributing to areas that don't interest me. In fact it would be annoying.To encourage new posts and to try and get some of the people who stick to one area of the forum to come out of hiding we'd like to reduce the number of forums and sub Forums and maybe look at changing the order of forums and categories on the homepage.
I had a look through today and honestly I can see reason for most of the forum titles and sub forums (are these nodes or whatever you are talking about?).
Again, I would like to see speakers corner dumped, although having the ignore function functioning again has meant I don't see a lot the crap anymore (entire threads are hidden!).

Yes you do but it's disjointed and there are many subs that could be removed. As has already been pointed out, the main purpose of the forum is surely growing, why is it those forums are half way down the homepage? And are you honestly saying there's not one change that could be made to the growing forums to make them easier to navigate? I'm not having a go, I'm asking for your ideas, in your opinion is the current layout of the growing forums spot on? If not what do you think we could do to improve it? That's all I'm asking.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Women's Forum removed as it's not needed and doesn't get many posts.
.......... and the SC can go too, I wouldn't miss it, just a place for gratuitous, repetitive insults that drives members to delete.

Imho merging all the international sub forums into their parents is not needed. It would be cool, but you'd need to have some sort of advanced post flair/filter system before. Maybe on some of the more inactive ones would make sense even without such a system, but in Italian for example it would be a complete disaster. There'd be too many different types of grows that go straight into a single feed.
So the forum i would like to see definitely has less nodes and more node-specific post flairs (categories) to screen unwanted content, a la reddit. Also, would love to have the ability to hide nodes/forums permanently from my view.
I'd say start making small changes from the bottom (subforums) and finish with the top (forums).
Also the ordering and grouping is very weird. "Grows" should be first. Move Contests and Cup to an indipendent top level node, second. Move International forums to an indipendent top level node, third. "Talk about it" should be fourth. This is the content that I (and i think others too) come here for, in order of importance.
Then, "Vendor forums" should be fourth. "Magazine" (announcements, news, support, etc) should be last. This is the content that keeps the site alive, but not full of users. If users go, there's no site.

Are you referring to the post prefixes that we've been playing with in the Grow Diaries forum? They're great because if used properly you can click on a prefix and filter posts in a forum by the prefix. The tests we set up were Diary and Competition. If anyone else wants to see what he means go take a look at Grow Diaries and click on one of the brown Competition prefixes.I just realized that there's already properly working flairs on some forums!

All good feedback so far - giving us some new ideas to implement - there is no immediate rush to do anything - best to hear what the membership has to say about it - then try and make everyone happy - somehow - keep it coming
I agree with Giggles. As one of the worst offenders as far as amount of political posts, I now agree it has no place here. Take away the non-growing shit-stirring commies crap, and will stick to only posting growing and dope related content.

Someone must have like those tho in the past.. some of them were even sticky! I too agree that free speech doen't mean all shit gonna fly. Altrough all opinions matter, subjects need to have somewhat of a crowd of balanced people to be discussed in a civil way. The ones that attract just people with extreme views and trolls should not be allowed. Altrough I have nothing against those persons or their views, i just think there are better places for them to discuss those with likeminded people. Let's keep general talk here really general, so most of our users and guests can enjoy them or even contribute. I would also love to see the general part of the forum more female friendly, us boys have some ways of posting that sometimes drives the ladies away from some discussions. If womens forum goes into general talk, for sure would be nice to have a way of interacting there so that all the ladies feel included and happy to post, as well.
