NL99 (Northern Lights x Cinderella99)

This was grown inside a computer under 105w cfl, and an extra twenty-something watt bulb the last week or two:

An interesting mix of body and head highs. It started off rather uppy, then knocked me out at the end. Overall not as speedy as I had expected, but I enjoy it. Prety darn potent too - I'm going to be growing it again.

Here's a little something i found from another site i visit. It was a "pre" smoke report from an unflushed bud I pinched before they were ready:



Pre smoke report:

Effect: I took a small sample from this plant to see what I was in for. The high is similar to that of the first plant in that the high is very lucid and clear. You don't get much of the physical stimulation you'd often get from weed - it was nearly all a psychological effect: non-stop thinking for hours straight, euphoria, a permanent huge grin, and none of the laziness/tiredness. It was really easy to get sucked into the high and completely forget whats going on around you. Lots of visual tendancies too... colors look fantastic... all that good stuff. It's quite long lasting, and even after 3 or so hours, all it takes is a couple of tokes to get right back up there.

Taste / smell: I let the piece i took dry for a couple of days so that it didn't smell too much of clorophyl.. that grassy hay smell. I can't give a 100% report on the taste due to this, but it was still great. As i mentioned above, it can be summarized in one word: tropical. I found myself just sucking on the end of the unlit joint just to get a taste.

Appearance: Wierd. It starts off with a mix of bright and dark green. After drying and starting to lose its pigments it starts to turn a very deep and dark color. It looks as if if has a red shade underneath, but the green isnt all gone. Trichome coverage as you can see from the photos isn't mindblowing, but isnt bad. I think this strain retains a lot of its resin internally - It's unusually sticky when you break it apart.

Potency - Prety darn decent. I see what the C99 hype is all about now. It starts off mellow, then just keeps building and building. I was sober when i started the walk on my way back home.. by the time i was halfway there, I had almost walked off the sidewalk into traffic about 3 times. Just zoned out. I love the stone more than anything else iv tried (except this one particular sack my friend had last summer.. that stuff was the happiest, giddyest shit ever, I wish I knew what it was).

I'm probably eventually going to try this strain one time. I'm always reading up on low-odor strains, and this strain always keeps popping up as being one of the lowest odor strains that exist. I've been thinking about getting some NLXC99 seeds even before I saw the nice bud pix in this thread. I already like NL, and I'm looking for a more sativa high, so I'm curious to try this strain out.

I'm def going to try out those NLxc99 tho.
That is exactly the high I like. Nonstop thinking and euphoria, but not like ur on crack. And it knocks ya out in the end for some BOMB dreams.... excellent

Good job, and did you take any clones for mom's? Get to know a clone and I'm sure you can easily double/tripple your yield in the space. Maybe 1 trained, or several colas

Really? I always thought NL was some pretty skinky stuff, all of the pure NL I've got stunk up my car for weeks. I've got some
bigbud x NL going right now and I have to say its pretty stinky. I'm surprised that this has a reutation on not being very skinky, hmm, I guess it could be the C99.

On the description of the site where you can order the C99xNL strain it says it's low odor. About the NL, there must be some different strains of that around, because I'm growing pure NL at the moment, only 2 plants, and I'm 2 weeks into flower, and I don't even have a carbon filter, and I can't say that I notice much of a smell yet.

(Northern Lights x Cinderella 99)

Indoor
Northern ligthts was the mother of this cross. NL is a high yielding fast growing strain that has been around a long time. The stone is a balanced sativa/indica high that has been popular a long time. Cinderella 99 is very well known and has a trippy sativa type of high. C99 finishes in 8 weeks or less and is low in odor. NL also finishes in about 8 weeks and is fairly low odor. The combination produces a high yielding, fast finishing plant that has a super high and is low in odor.
