Nirvana strains?

I'm wondering which if any Nirvana strains I should consider buying? I ask because their gear seems to be nicely priced to try to find a keeper. Looking for suggestions from people who have experience with their strains. I prefer indica doms. But I am open to sativa highs, as I was just gifted a Haze hybrid last weekend. Thanks in advance.

I ran their hindu kush(well..currently running). Popped about 5 beans and got 4 males & 1 female(assuming that the other 5 in the pack are going to have a good female ratio). Outdoors in 12/12 from seed, she's doing fairly well. Only about 15-18 inches tall, slightly skunky smell at about 3.5 weeks. Seems ok. Before I pulled the males, they did seem pretty uniform.

i tried Nirvana's Papaya once and thought it was absolute rubbish.

Then i grew Nirvana's AK48, ended up with a slower flowering sativa pheno that was my 2nd ever best yielder (behind Sour Diesel IBL), definately the easiest plant ive ever trimmed, and very potent buds. A very pleasant surprise, especially after the previous disappointment with Papaya

Hello all,

Pheno, how long did the AK's go- I am at day 56 today and there are no amber trichs. They are mostly cloudy with some clear.

I have been smoking the lower buds I cut a week ago and they are phenominal for NRS seeds (I have grown out other NRS strains). Anyway, any info would be appriciated.

My apologies AHM, I do not intend to hyjack yoru thread. Anyway, as I mentioned above that I have grown out other NRS strains and I thought most tasted all the smae- this could be my growing error. I thought the Nothern Ligths was decent.

I will recommend the AK48 - it is very good and easy to grow.

we have grown out a number of nirvana beans, and all were pretty good... with the exception of jock horror... which was the shit... the only mum that we are keeping FOREVER..

the jock pheno we have is better then seeds that cost me 10x as much...

I've tried the Nirvana NL and it was decent but nothing spectacular. White Rhino should satisfy your indica preference and seems to get the most consistently positive reviews. For a similar price, I would really recommend anything from Mandala. I've tried the Speed Queen and Hashberry and they are very hardy and good smoke. From personal experience and lots of research I wouldn't hestitate to heartily recommend anything Mandala Mike puts out.

I didnt take your comment to be rude. It was in fact the truth. I ran a search and found the exact thread that you were refering to. I have decided to go with the ak 48, bubalicous, and white rhino. But for the price I cant go wrong. That and with hashberry and sadu.

NIrvana´s seeds have multiple phenos, some are nicer than others, just have to find a keeper! Nirvana offers some nice NL5 x Haze & Jock Horror. I think that with that 15 € you have to pay from a pack you cannot go wrong!!!

Mandala seems to have very interesting offerings for that same price also. I have heard just good things about their products, Kalichakra specially.

I had to pull my NLXHaze due to light stress (had a few more weeks to go). But the smoke is nice, not much taste or smell but a strong high that will put you to sleep at the end. I've also grown out Satori and Speed Queen from Mandala and I must say to me their just a little better then Nirvana, it's hard to beat the Rhino though. Heres the NLXHaze.

Currently Runnin' Ice, and Ak-48 Had 100% Germ rate... 2 ice males, and 50/50 with the ak..... not bad for 30 Euro....... Ak is a stinky bitch.....

The Hasberry in particular, but Mandala seeds in general have (from what I have personally viewed) a very positive response from the people from this site. However so has the Ak48, and White Rhino, for the most part. How are the yeilds with these two strains? If anyone has any info. I plan to grow sog or scrog not sure yet, 600w-1000w hps for flowering. I'm alittle right now so if I forgot something I'll amend......later

Hola Herbalistic, I had to cut my NLXHaze early (20 days) because "it" started putting out a few male flowers and I can't have that in my garden with all the other ladies. Even cut early the NLXHaze lives up to its heritage delivering an "up" Sativa type threshold followed by a dreamy narcotic finish. It's not really sleepy unless you smoke a lot (like I do with everything). I've been smoking it over my Colombian Gold and another cross I have cured, it's good with an average taste (it's not cured just dry) and smell. I like the balanced high thats potent even though it really needed a few more weeks.
I grew two Satori females out in the spring and they were different sizes but both were compact super frosty Sativa hybrids. One was slightly bigger then the other and finished sooner, both had the same type of high. At first I didn't like the Satori because even though it was strong it made me feel every ache and pain in my body, even giving me a headache a few times. However after I let it cure for about a month it was quite different producing an effect almost equal to the breeders description or better. Satori is good stuff and almost like the NLXHaze but with a smoother high and no male flowers.
Right now I have all three of my Nirvana strains growing Afghan, NLXHaze and the White Rhino. Bottom line is Nirvana is great but there are other cheap strains that are better (and some cheaper, check out whitelables white skunk). If I have room to grow more Nirvana in the future it would have to be the White Rhino.
