NIRVANA SEEDS FAN THREAD

TychoMonolyth

Boreal Curing
I'm still waiting for someone to do a final grow smoke report on Nirvana's glue and cookies fem seeds. I want to know if they are the real deal. Sorry I have a different breeders seeds going right now and I'm waiting on these results before I splurge on there new strains.

I'll put one up this weekend on their Original Glue. I bought 100 bulk and grew them gorilla style.

Ok, back on track....

Just popped 10 ICE, 3 days later 9 have popped there heads above the surface, through in some peyote critical to make up the numbers.

Will up date in regards to the ICE.

Not familiar with the Swiss Miss Luciano, the Swiss cheese was also a nice outdoor strain the last i heard.

yes it definitely was, it's just most phenos I got from Swiss Cheese weren't as mold resistant as the Swiss Miss. The afghan clones(3 phenos, 2 are grown outdoors) I inherited from my uncles mold easily and it's been pretty bad last few years. wet late Sept/early Octobers, this year was downright horrible, hoping maybe I can get a cross that is either mold-resistant or knocks a couple weeks off the afghans flower time while still being a big resin producer(asking a lot lol). I bought about 40 seeds(u got 10 per pack back then) of each strain, Swiss Miss was out til about 2008 then it kind of disappeared when they came out with swiss cheese.

I still have 4 or 5 swiss cheese beans so maybe I will try popping them next month/early feb when it's time to start the outdoor transplants. They are at least 7 years old and in a non-climate controlled storage shed for last 3 years so I don't even know if they'll pop. I guess I'll Pray I get a good mold-resistant male to keep inside until he busts a nut.

Seems like nirvana only offers 4 or 5 strains regular, everything is fem or auto now.....

Same here. Most potent weed I've ever smoked was a pheno of nirvana white widow. Never had anything come close since.

i swear there must be some supernatural force at work with 1st grows from seed
same experience with a version of NL, by far the strongest plant i've grown
did actually clone it, but being very small scale grower had to let it go

I've recently gone back to have a look at their AK48.
It's nothing like Serious AK47, totally different plant. I like many back in the day thought it was an F2 knock but it isn't anything like it.

I recall it as a super easy plant that can be grown many ways, nothing in the way of outstanding smell nor is the high what you'd call a special ride but it idiot proof and good which is my ideal girl at the mo.

If I see anything I like I may S1 and go into the line.

I also have their Blue dream which I don't hold much hope for, if I find a good Blueberry smelling haze I'll S1.

AK48 Review Revisit 2008

To introduce this review. I stopped growing in 2005, so 1 must have taken notes. I did grow 4 packs of AK48's !!

I grew w/ RW; now RW onto more RW (HandWater) or Balls (Constant/Periodic Automated Waterings).

New methods has surely ruined my efforts since 2016 - such classics as small plant big pot, rockwool stemrot (what happens when your Generator goes from 400MH autowater >> 150wFlouro handwater), temps 5c colder, expectations "This will be the crop 1g+/w" that became .65 with 4 exra weeks (x3 crops), DWC, heat issues (fixed shelving in closet) and algae buildup..... the end result was a 10ft closet grow expanded to 30ft (2 more closets and 15ft of water table). So yeh, finding out you don't know shit then relearning the square has been a new experience of loss :joint:

I don't think I smoked any AK48 properly cured - but it lit me up dry+2wks - so high thc rather than a mild smoke. (Aurora indica was a good smoke early).

Props to IC for keeping my account w/notes and letting me update my username :skiiing:

From 32 AK48's I got 18 females. Kept all of em and first crop evaluation was mainly on earlier bloom and yield.

I kept 6 mothers on yield from first 8 week crop. All plants were good and 1 in 3 plants were slightly better.

1 plant was terrible low quality hemp plant - very leafy with grassy smell.

Maturation : 3 plants were 10 weeks or more. 3 to 5 plants 8 weeks. 1 plant you could crop at 7 weeks.

Yield : very good They really bud up way down on the plant - upper buds keep growing until they are gigantum - even without CO2.

Odor : variable - I'd say 7 to 8 > medium smelly - unusual fresh pine type of smell. Rotting meat pheno, about 1/2 had this smell and one plant retained this smell dried, appealling, but tastes more of floral undertone.

The resin is huge at 7 weeks and the AK48 weighs up very well but it is a milder smoke imo.

The smoke is medium good IMO. The stone comes on good and wears off without headache or other pains in 2 hours which is the norm ime. This 2004 issue does deliver as a high yielding, medium potency, easy blooming plant.

1st bloom in small rw blocks - looks to be @ 4 weeks 12/12
