NIRVANA SEEDS FAN THREAD

I'm very disappointed from my order at Nirvana's site from a few months ago. I was very eager to try again the Eldorado (no success out of 5 feminized seeds a few years ago). So, I ordered Edorado and Urban Poison feminized. Nothing came. I wrote to them after 40 days and they said they'll make an exception and send me seeds again. But only 1 of the 2 - either Eldorado or Urban Poison. I answered I'd like Eldorado and not to bother adding freebies because I won't use them. I received a package with 10 freebies in it. I was shocked. I sent them a photo where it was clearly visible that there haven't been any other seeds in the package because the freebies have left marks on the package and there were no other marks. They answered they are very surprised and will make another exception and will send me Eldorado again. Nothing came...
So, I payed 73 euro to get 10 free unknown regular seeds. I would have been less frustrated if I'd received nothing. Never again Nirvana's shop.

I've never had any problems ordering through their shop. Here's 1 full moon from last year. Straight up fox tails. Smell was dirt, very sticky, taste was spice and the high was incredible! They note there's a visual high and when i used in high doses I noticed my vision would shift left to right. And end up a little blurry. I would have to really focus to see clearly. Also the thoughts running through my mind were unstoppable. I would like to capture it's high in a different plant structure. Finished at 12 weeks. Grown outdoors in a 3 gallon pot I got a little over 5 ozs dried.

I was putting up crappy photos of my Nirvana grow, so I took three plants out for much better photos. The first 2 are the aurora indica, the second 2 are the maui waui. The last 3 are the blackberry. We are nearing the end of week 7 of flower. Fan leave yellowing on the maui. This is not a sativa plant, but indica leaning and seems to be maturing faster than the other 2. Blackberry is starting some fan leave yellowing, not so much on the aurora indica. I do feed every eigth day and water only on the fourth day. Will take all a minimum of 10 weeks unless totally yellowed out on the fan and sugar leaves. Nirvana says aurora's can be over 20 % thc, that's pretty damn high, they do stay short. Leaves are pointing upwards (happy) because they were fed on Monday. Nearing the end and all are triced out nicely. Happy with this fem seed grow so far. For the money, great genetics.

:woohoo:Here are the harvest photos. Taken down at 9 weeks because of Easter visitors. The Aurora Indicas were very greasy while trimming. Last Blackberry taken down at 9 weeks. Maui is already dried. Will update after proper mason jar cure on effects and strength. Even the mutant aurora indica developed nice buds.

I wish Nirvana would bring back the four 5-pack Mix 'n' Match deal for Regular seeds. Also California Orange or Orange Bud, whatever they called it.

Can I get a witness?

2010, that's about when I also got Nirvana Cali Orange Bud (thanks for reminding me of the name.) I agree, excellent taste and effect (and yield!). But I didn't find it to be difficult at all, using basic 9/6 nutrients in hempy buckets. Maybe I just got a couple good phenos, or maybe it's the difference in our respective water sources.

Why was it a bastard to grow for you, Pinball Wizard?

Anyone have any input regarding Nirvana Jock Horror phenotypes?

I'm running a couple at the moment, and I have one leaning so heavily towards the haze end of things, that I'm contemplating re-vegging it.

I've also grown Delicious Seeds Critical Jack Herer, and the aroma that I'm getting from my Nirvana Jock Horror is eerily similar. It's a really funky aroma that moves back and fourth between smelling like pepper, peanuts, and some sort of woodsy aroma. This aroma is nothing like the typical cannabis aroma. Smells nothing like cannabis to be exacty, at least the flowers don't.

I've read over and over again that Jock Horror is nothing like Jack Herer, but all I can think of right now it Jack Herer with this thing. The strains that make up the Jock are essentially the same as those that make up Jack am I right? Maybe not the exact phenotypes, but the same strains right?

Whatever is going on, it's weird but I like it. If things continue to go the way I anticipate them to with this aroma, I expect it to finish up VERY woodsy and very haze like.
I'll keep posting in this thread until I get my post count up, and can post some pics.

I'm also running an EXTERMELY piney pheno of the Nirvana Jock Horror.
It's VERY piney with skunk undertones. A little on the stretching end of things, but nothing too bad. I've read about this pheno(or a similar pheno) in a few different places on the net, so I know it's common, but I've seen nothing of this haze dominant, peppery/woodsy pheno.

i tried running jock horror, still got some seeds
had a hard time getting a seed to take, several died on the way
got 1 plant to grow, a male, crap
cut off the tops to get the blooms in a pollen isolation chamber
pollen wouldn't ripen, but the cut up male started throwing pistils all over the place
so genetics seem a little weird

Also running a RIDICULOUSLY sativa dominant pheno of the Sativa Seeds Blackberry(or Nirvana Blackberry).

It's shaping up to be a 12-15wk flowering pheno it's looking like.
Likewise with this one, I haven't seen anything in regards to this pheno online.
Everyone else's Blackberry seems to be A LOT more indica dominant than mine.
This one has not a trace of indica in it's expressions..

Anyone come in contact with this pheno?

It's Unreal How Similar This Pheno Smells To Critical Jack Herer

Yeah I got the seeds from Herbies last 4/20. I order 5, and all 5 germinated, while only 3 ended up as females. Of those 3, I kept 2!

I didn't find a nice enough male to keep, but if this Jock turns out how I expect it too, it would be worth going thru a few more packs just to find this pheno. I'll keep posting tho, and post pics as soon as I can :tiphat:

i had many a conversation with growers of cali-o back in that time
some take aways
this wasn't the same cali-o that nirvana used to sell, which was a much more sativa type
great reputation for being an anxiety type medicine, which is what interested me
the 2010 version(or there abouts), was more hybrid, kind of a 'mainstream' hybrid
it was ok, good flavor and smell, not too hard to grow, did well in a micro setup, not great anxiety medicine though
this is an aspect of nirvana, they're a collective, breeders come and go
so you had another breeder at this time selling a cali-o, at least that was my guess
and it was legitimate in its own way, i found quite a bit of evidence out there for cali-o being like what i found
it's just that the strain names are only so accurate, so many genetics out there

From Peppery To Mexican? Nirvana Jock Horror

Today when watering the plants, I took some time to get a feel for her aroma(Nirvana Jock Horror #1), and I feel like she's shifting into the next stage or whatever she's gonna smell like, and it's a typical "Mexican" aroma at this point.
I love how much things change on the day to day!

But with that said, I didn't get any "Mexican" in the aroma of my Jack dominant Critical Jack, so I'm not sure where this plant is going at this point! It's a shame! Just when I thought I was getting something "Jack-like", she changes!

She's got another 4 weeks to flower AT LEAST, so it'll be interested to see where she goes.

Nirvana Jock Horror #2 is still overwhelmingly piney, and Sativa Seeds Blackberry is still too mellow to discern really anything right now. I feel like I get blackberry upon the petiole rubs, but nothing with the pistils at this point

Nirvana Jock Horror #1(Haze Dominant Pheno)

Nirvana Jock Horror #1(Haze Dominant Pheno)

This is the Nirvana Jock Horror #1(Haze dominant pheno)

Completion of the 6th week since flip(approx wk4 flowering)
Aroma has shifted from peppery to more of a spicy Mexican aroma, with sweet undertones. It's VERY spicy and Mexican this week, not just a little. No "dank/weed/skunk" aroma at all.
Noticing a few calyxes swelling for the 1st time here and there, so there has been some evident growth. Trich production doesn't seem to have changed much since last week, but it's increasing still.
Pistils have started to turn this week. I'm looking at maybe 5% max per bud(if that). Last week there weren't any colored pistils.
