i agree that he should have waited until the nfl offseason to see what offers came his way
rams v 9ers was ok and tds are overrated
/not really but this was the low octane rams offense
rain was in the forecast (we might get a taste of it here in socal) but at one point it was really coming down and made for some fun viewing
the rams d looked good and i like the way they are finding a new identity in the a.d era

we recently had an oversized waste day here where you could just pile up all kinds of sht on the curb and the city hauled it away for free
i totally spaced it so was only able to get a few things on the curb, but some of the neighbors had mountains of things to get rid of ranging from lawn furniture to home goods

Given the disaster the cowboys have been and mccarthy is a lame duck coach (in the last yr of his contract with no extension in sight) people were certain belichick would have been the prime candidate to be their next coach. If he had waited another month maybe it would have happened. But he wanted to go somewhere with total control over the roster and coaches have that in college, it's pretty rare to get that in the nfl.

I think no TDs on TNF would have paid out +20000, or 200x your bet. Both teams were coming off a season high in pts scored on sunday, even with the rain you expected at least 1 td, but there it is, sometimes TNF is a goofy game.

Belichick is a good teacher, Hippy, so maybe he'll approach Saban levels of being able to develop his players. I guess that was one of Norvell's weaknesses, Buzz, that he wasnt able to develop his high school recruits to become good college players, he had to rely on the portal for transfers for good players.

It's not just the nfl prospects that will attract recruits, UNC is going to set up a 20M NIL fund to make sure theyre well compensated too, and a whole recruiting/GM staff to handle that side of the business. Belichick wasnt known as a good talent evaluator in the nfl, especially on the offensive side of the ball, so if he continues to have trouble on that end he might not be that successful.

As a university employee i think his close family members get free tuition, not sure if he wants to put a ring on his girlfriend but that's an option, Buzz. Maybe she can get a master's in social work, specializing in geriatric care.
It will be interesting to see how the ACC shakes out next year, if UNC and FSU will be battling for the top spots with clemson/miami/smu, how the media rights lawsuit shakes out, if private equity invests into member schools (i think fsu already rejected a deal, and a couple nfl teams have sold stakes to PE firms), etc.

I think the bears will lose every game from here on out, hawk, including to seattle. Only thing to do is bet against them.
Belichick was known for pushing the rules to their limit, who knows what shenanigans he'll get up to in college?
