2 baconators in the past week and a half? Those are rookie numbers, you gotta pump those numbers up. Lol but seriously, ur right, all that bacon and cheese and beef, it’s basically a heart attack in a bun. That’s what makes it good. A side of fries makes it even unhealthier but you can cancel it out with a diet coke, right?
Maybe you should fly a big Ukrainian flag on your balcony just to troll your Russian neighbors. If theyre always loud could you call the cops and make an anonymous noise complaint? Too bad they don’t smoke hash, that would be a good way to make friends with them. Are they big time drinkers?

Kyler got a 5 yr, 230M contract, avg of 46.1M (behind Rodgers’ 50M/yr and just ahead of Watson’s 46M/yr), 160M guaranteed. So he’s their QB until 2028.
Ur right Pop, they went all in on kyler but everyone said they had to, they’ve had some gawd-awful QBs there and when he’s healthy he’s been a top 5 MVP candidate the last couple of years. Key word is healthy, 2 yrs ago he had a shoulder injury that slowed him down in the 2nd half of the season, last year it was an ankle that did the same thing. But for all his size deficiency, when he’s on his game, he can run like lamar (well, almost) and throw like brady (well, almost).
Speaking of lamar Jackson, his extension is next in line. He’s already won an MVP, and while his 2 seasons since havent been nearly as good (last year he was also hurt) this team doesn’t want to go back to a Flacco type QB again. Sure Flacco won a superbowl when he played out of his mind during the playoffs plus had a great defense, but the 5-6 yrs afterwards they had to endure him being an ok, even mediocre, QB.

U make a good point, Pop, that dual threat QBs may have shorter careers. Cam Newton is only 33 but is a street free agent (Carolina didn’t re-sign him) and honestly has looked washed the last couple of years. He’s still a very capable runner but his passing is nathan Peterman levels of bad. Funny thing is that his injuries either came from getting hit in the pocket or trying to make a tackle after an interception (his shoulder injury that cost him a season), not from getting hit during runs. But maybe all those accumulated hits during his early years added up, like with Andrew Luck.

it like you were reading my mind man, can newton: ace boogie was the guy i had in mind too
he had that blow out year where he was the man but the next season the nfl let defenders tee off on him
once you leave the pocket and start running you are no longer protected as a qb
from then on he could get lit up whenever he decided to scramble, also he dident seem to be able to change plays on the fly
wasnt he the guy who you would hear the defense call out the play even before it happened?
/cough cough jarred goff
plus cam is a big dude, but like you said those hits add up
he is already showing some wear and tear; i guess we will see how k.mittens does this year and if he can play a full season he could put the cards in the playoffs
yowww!! i like your spicy hot taek about doob flying a uk'rain'e-an flag! also tell his neighbors what "son of'a beech" they are for being russian
crank your metalica up loud my man
pantera domination

/when you wife goes on tv to beg for military support i think you are sol

this should have been the song

Baconator was alright but if I do go to Wendy's I'm gonna get my usual chicken asiago with bacon sandwich.the baconator fries I'll still get.

Technically it's pretty much my cousin's wife bar and it's mostly a wine club with bands for rich snobs so I know I won't get a job.plus I'm trying to quit drinking.

Yeah ATL probably won't do anything this year.i only thing I'm looking forward to this year are all the new players.otherwise I'm not excited

Huh, I didn’t know ace boogie was one of cam newton’s nicknames. There’s a rapper named ace boogie, I wonder if there’s any relation to his stage name or it’s totally independent.

There’s a clip of some linebacker recognizing a red zone play by the panthers and calling it out and cam said “Oh you’ve been watching film? Well watch this.” And didn’t change the play and still scored a TD – a wheel route to mccaffrey that he cut inside.

That was the one knock against k-murray, his size. Everyone was worried how he would take NFL hits while scrambling. He’s done a good job of avoiding big hits, like Russell Wilson he’s got a baseball background and knows how to slide before contact, but still he’s taken some pretty bad injuries during some ordinary seeming tackles and sacks.

Falcons drafted a QB in the 3rd rd this year, he might be pretty talented but if they finish with the worst or 2nd worst record in the league they'll get either bryce young or cj stroud, the bama and ohio state QBs. They might be franchise guys.

That’s cool you’re trying to stay on the wagon, Hawk. I’m going on a week without booze. DB is going on 12 years sober. If he can do it so can we.

I'm just glad I used to drink hard liquor and not beer...that non-alcoholic beer sure tastes good. Good thing I never developed a taste for the real stuff

the ace boogie moniker goes back to like 2012
i used to love rap but i dont know who this ace boogie is
not into the new rap and none of these guys could hold a candle to the original artists in the game
russ has done a pretty good job of avoiding the big hits and i think he might cook in den
we will see how atl does this year but i could see them and the bears fighing it out for the #1-#2 picks
im sure there will be a dark sh!t horse to emerge this season, im wondering if it will be cle or will goof turn it down in det?
thats a good point doob, an ice tea tastes just as good with out the vodka
whats a good non alcoholic beer doob
im asking for a friend!
/if you want to quit drinking hawk you can do this

heres one more old school jam

Hey poprocks!
Clausthaler is a great non-alcoholic beer. German beer purity law, just water barley and hops. It tastes so good. Ah that first burp.
Been trying to get Heineken 0.0
Not sure how good it is but going to grab a six pack next month

I was the opposite DB, I used to like beer more than hard liquor, well except I liked mixed drinks well enough. I still like beer well enough but unless it’s a real strong one (abv 8% or more) I prefer the hard stuff more. One or two good swigs of vodka to get the nerves settled down, haha, and then build up through the night.
I’ll take your word for it that non-alcoholic beer is good. To me it sounds like a travesty, but I guess if you want that taste without any alcohol it’s satisfying. If I wanted something to drink that wasn’t alcoholic I usually stick to soda.

I think the whole ace boogie nickname cam had is independent of the rapper who also calls himself that. Supposedly someone interviewed Cam before his 2nd season and asked should I draft you #1 in my fantasy league and he said “hey man ace boogie wont let you down”.

The lowest O/U win totals for this season are Falcons and Texans at 4.5 wins, Seahawks and Panthers at 5.5, Bears Lions and Jaguars at 6.5, Saints Steelers and Giants at 7.5.
I’m thinking the lions might be good for 7 or more wins. They lost a bunch of close games last year to finish 3-13-1, with a little better luck in close games they could bump that to 6 wins easily, and they got some more talent (dj chark and jameson Williams at WR), aidan hutchinson at DE (#2 overall pick), so that might be worth another win or 2 for a total of 7-8 wins. Whatchu think? Little parlay with the lions over 6.5, bears under 6.5?

you guys got me into the hip hop mood man, evry day is saturday when you are retired

i never tried a non alcoholic beer but i like heineken, so their non alcohol should be pretty good
thats one of my go to beers in places that dont have a selection of beers, (or sam adams; otherwise its coors light)
it has a certain flavor that i like
i dont really drink anything but water, tea and vodka; i like to mix a little mint tea in my drinks just for the taste
/not water i love the taste of water, so its basically vodka teas and water
ive never heard of this german beer but it sounds good and if you are enjoying it on a hot day im sure its rockin

i just like the tag and started calling some people ace bookie
ace was always a cool nickname but add in teh boogie and its a new level
im going to have to get back to you on the lions, going from 3 to 7 wins is going to be tough
/i need to check out their schedule
but you know how goof is and i could see him choking hard, thus tanking their season
it would help the team to do poorly this season with next years qb draft class
my crystal ball anint so crystal clear...

I used to be a Heineken man too, I don’t order it much anymore, not that it isn’t good though. Nowadays if I were to order a beer at a bar it’s almost always a craft beer if it’s not too expensive, otherwise stella artois is good, blue moon with an orange slice is good, I also like Guinness and I used to love black and tans, which is half Guinness half Bass pale ale. The two flavors kind of balanced each other out imo. But it’s been ages since I ordered one haha. Nowadays if I go for beer in the liquor store the alcoholic in me just wants the highest abv, so imperial stouts (10-12%) or even barley wines (up to 15% or more) would be nice. But beer packs on the calories too, it’s like liquid bread, so it’s not great for the waistline.

See, I feel like Goff would be perfect for a mediocre team, good enough against bad defenses to lead them to wins, bad enough against good defenses to probably lose. Amon-ra St Brown emerged as a pretty good WR the last few weeks of last season, now with DJ chark and jameson Williams plus tj hockensen (TE) and deandre swift (good pass catching RB) he’s got 5 good receiving options. Chark broke his ankle week 4 last year but should be healed, and jameson Williams tore his acl in Jan in the college football playoffs but might be ready after the first month of the season.

I guess it really depends on their defense. Last year they were the 2nd worst defense in the league (both in points and yards allowed), only the jets were below them. But they signed some free agents (no one really notable but sometimes those are the best signings) and drafted some defensive players including aidan Hutchinson (most people thought he would go #1 overall in the draft), so the defense might be mediocre instead of league worst. Plus they won 3 of their last 6 games last season so things were looking better after starting 0-10-1.

I don’t know, im trying to talk myself into them, maybe im being foolish.

goof was surrounded by talent on the rams
im not saying det will be the worst team this year and like you said goof could win a couple close games, its just 7 wins would be a lot
/i admit i still havent checked over their schedule
so i found a funny, in k.moneys contract i guess there is a clause that makes him spend time studying the playbook
https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.c...urray-homework-clause-doesnt-violate-the-cba/
the best part is it explicitly says, no tv, phone or video games can be played during these hours
you always hear stories about how the best spend countless hours studying tape and learning the game so its funny to see them forcing him to sit down and do his home work
this is the last week without football and i cant wait for next thurs
i used to love beers baba
san diego has a strong craft brew game and i would try them all
i liked the darkers ones but we are known for our ipas
a friend of our was a home brewer and made the best pilsner i have ever had, crisp fresh and perfect for a hot summer day
i got into the triple bocks and barley wines too, they are good but like you said they pack on the kcals
but if you gon'drank you gon 'drank

My grandpa used to be a big alcoholic and switched to Odouls NA beer.thing is I was pressured into drinking beer.long story short if I didn't drink the older kids would beat me up.started at jack Daniels and hard shit.didnt like beer.years later I don't feel right without a beer in my hand.for the first time in months I went a couple days without drinking and started to feel a little better.my dad and his buddy were calling me but I ignored them cause they are annoying drunks and I didn't wanna drink but today they brought beer cause they were "worried about me". They are such stupid drunks they couldn't take a hint.i think I spent $500 on booze last week.i need a break.bought a $50 bottle of knob creek.it was ok but not worth the money.i keep telling them I've got liver disease but they are fucking dumb assholes.honestly I'd kill them if I could get away with it.not even joking.

DB the baconator isn't that great.try the chicken asiago bacon sandwich.same price.you might like it

Detroit plays the AFC east and NFC East (same as every NFC north team does this year). They also play the Panthers, Seahawks and Jaguars, 3 teams that are projected to be among the league's worst. Bears play the 49ers, Falcons and Texans, 2 of whom are projected to be almong the worst teams.
I think it mostly falls on Aidan Hutchinson, if he can bring that defense to mediocrity as a top draft pick, I think 7 wins is very doable considering they're playing 3 bad teams, also the Bears twice, the Jets once.
Look at me im actually thinking of betting on the lions to win more games than they should, maybe i have covid brain fog.

If I were kyler murray i'd be pissed that that leaked, makes him look like an absolute tool. Guy gets paid millions of dollars to play a child's game (well, a very VIOLENT child's game but still) and he has to be TOLD to put in 45 minutes of work each day (4 hours a week) studying film. There's a video going around of tom brady saying he watches 4-5 hours of film a DAY. Im sure peyton manning was the same or more. Russell wilson is known for being a grinder too. Not sure if Rodgers Mahomes Stafford study that much but im sure they put in the work too. Still, kyler's problem so far is injuries, and maybe kliff kingsbury's offense being figured out in the 2nd half of every season, not a lack of being prepared. Although what does an unprepared QB look like? How do you tell if a QB sucks because they're just not good enough or they're unprepared?

That's the thing with booze, Pop, it takes a toll on my health, both calorie wise and just messing with my stomach if i do it for too long. But I always keep coming back to it, lol.
I think it's good that youre able to take breaks from drinking Hawk, even if only for a little bit. I'm sorry that your friends and family keep you from longer breaks, maybe when you go to IA you'll have more freedom to break the cycle.

People keep talking about Wendys you should try the Wendy's phone app, they have a deal where you buy a sandwich and get an extra one for $1. Would be handy to have an extra baconator or chicken sandwich for later.

Let us know how your birthday goes, DB. Theyre playing the indians tomorrow? I want to see pics of that $30 lobster roll. That thing better not come on a hot dog bun for that price.

Fingers crossed @Bababooey , they've got the rain hitting at 9PM tomorrow night. Hopefully can get 2 hours of baseball in.
Lot of talk on Twitter about Mac Jones. Many people investing in his baseball cards. Will he live up to the hype? I see him getting destroyed by a LB doing one of those bootlegs he does so often. He does a play action like every time. Someone is going to level him.
Baconater!!! Double baconater! I need food. @shithawk420 I will have to try that chicken sandwich man

Yeah we got hit with a big storm this afternoon in IL but it only lasted an hour.
Belichick says that mac is way ahead of where he was last year, i think it's said a pro athlete's greatest improvement is between his 1st and 2nd years. Brady won his first championship in his 2nd year so maybe patriots dynasty will start again. Haha, just kill me now if that happens, right Hawk?

You know, it's not actually called a double baconator, just baconator. It comes with 2 patties normally. I suppose if you added on a patty it would be a triple baconator, or took a patty off it would be a single baconator. But maybe they do things differently in the NE and actually call it a double baconator?

Haha, I get that, DB. Better to be safe than sorry.
Happy Bday btw. You old enough to drink yet?

Im a big fan of the Bell too, Hawk. Do you like Mexican food in general or just taco bell, which is more Mexican-like than authentic Mexican.

I think she pronounced it Fool’s Ball, that’s how much disdain she had for the sport. Gotta love Bobby Bouchet, guy was picked on his whole life, even by his own mother, and then unleashes that anger on a football field and becomes Lawrence taylor on crack. Oh wait a minute Lawrence taylor WAS on crack.

Packers will probably make the playoffs but I doubt they’ll win 13 games again, not with Rodgers losing Davante Adams and Marquez Valdes-scantling, his top 2 receivers from last season. In fact most fantasy football rankings have Rodgers as the #12 QB this year as far as stats go; no 3rd straight MVP for him. And SF is breaking in a new QB, trey lance, a rookie last year. I doubt he’ll be like mahomes his 2nd year (Mahomes won MVP his 2nd year) the dude is very raw but very athletic.
