Next Generation Romulan vs. Federation Romulan

Reeferman claims the grape Romulan came from him in that pay it forward thing he did. Federation used to advertise that they had bred for the grape pheno and as soon as the boards lit up looking for the pine romulan they changed their description. The romulan from reeferman was crossed to something else after he got it and it does not compare to the romulan/hashplant dwarf I have from Next Generation.

Haven't seen anything grape in my fed roms, all pine so far with the redish stocks.

Great! Sounds like you have something good. I'm still looking for something intensely piney but I think I am done buying seeds.

I feel you on that,

reason why I am working on breeding out my own f1's to see what the f2's possess.

I think the only seeds I will get from here on out are the "too good to pass up" ones and then the landrace ones to develop my own strains later on.

My thoughts exactly. I started doing that when I was in danger of losing my elites so I crossed them out. I've also been collecting landrace Sativa's and Indica's and I'm well on my way now. Over 80 different strains and about 60 too many.

These are my Federation Romulans. Sorry I don't have any pics of the flowering stage. They have a very strong, unmistakably pine smell that will test even the finest of carbon filters. The taste and high are what you would expect, on the piney side with a nice indica stone, but with a touch of head to it. The yield is average at best, at least in my setup. To me, this variety really is more interesting as breeding material; not to say that it's not a nice smoke.

I grew BCGA's Romberry(awesome stuff) for many years, and it ranks as some of the best all-around herb ever. I can say that it and Fed's Romulan certainly share more than a few characteristics, and so would lead me to believe that they have a shared ancestry.:2cents:

Raco thanks for putting up those old posts by Vic, brings back a lot memories. Thanks. :joint:
