Newbie hydroponics grow, need help getting started/selecting equipment!

Bad news.

Lemon Stinky has gone hermieish on me.

I found another bigger sac, and I found several small tiny finger-like sacs at the top of it. I couldn't find any down low, but I found some new tiny growth that may end up being more balls!

So I'm flushing the plants tomorrow for 2-3 days (depends on if the sacs look ready to burst or not) and will hopefully harvest the Lemon Stinky. I haven't seen anything on the Master Kush, though.

How long do those tiny mini-sacs take to mature and burst open? I'm not 100% sure on what I'll do, but I'm hoping that (in 3 days) I can carefully harvest out the lemon stinky plant and remove all the sacs manually, and trim it and enjoy without pollen getting everywhere into the air.

Indicas are usually more stable, right? So I likely just over-abused it, finally? There were about 3-4 gaffes with the lighting throughout the flower cycle, so it didn't go as best as it could, unfortunately.

Yeah, bleh.

Flush started yesterday. On looking at the trichomes, the Lemon Stinky has quite a few amber, mostly cloudy, a few clear. So I'm probably a bit late on the Lemon Stinky anyway.

Flush started yesterday. The Master Kush looks like it's ready too, to be honest.

I'll try to get some snaps up!

I think you harvested just in time, unless you were looking for couch lock city. What are you using to take the trich shots with?

Yeah, heh.

I am using my digital camera with the lens on backwards (reversed). You can get extremely close-in and take some amazing pictures, heh.

Edit: I only changed the water once so far, but it's been 3 days. Should I change it again and wait antoher day, or should it be mostly flushed? I'll check on the plants a bit later and maybe take a few pics.

Holy shit, that was intense.

Harvested, trimmed, and drying. Will have a pic dump sometime very soon.

My god the smell is incredible from both of them. I really hope this smell comes out during the cure.

~40 grams

Master Kush:

~40 grams

Total, ~80 grams dried, trimmed bud. I also have a bunch of sugary trim, a bunch of not-too-sugary leaves/stems, and maybe a half ounce of teeny assorted buds that I started trimming, but were too small to be worth really trimming intensively.

The yield wasn't phenomenal, mostly because I sucked in a few key areas, but I'm fine with this as a first time grow :p

The bud came out to be fantastic quality, though. The master kush is very, very trichome laden and extremely tasty smelling. It smells kind of like sugar, and it almost seems to have a hint of hash in taste so far. Very potent.

The Lemon Stinky has a very unique odor, the name essentially explains it all: lemon, stinky. Also pretty potent, there are some bracts that almost glow when you shine light on them, heh.

Anyway, I'll have some pics of the dried stuff up a bit later I suppose.

Heh, don't bother reading too much. That's thet way to look at this thread, pictures and dates. Most of the thread is me just asking a lot of incessant questions/providing updates/logging things.

Thanks for checking things out, though. Hopefully ~3o will be able to last me two more months while I wait for the next harvest.

Tomorrow might be a big day, I have to prep things to flower out the next set of plants, hopefully.

Yeah, smoking my own homegrown has truly been a unique experience. It's indescribably satisfying to be smoking your own ridiculously tasty buds.


The smell has gotten fantastic from both of them, I'll take a picture today if I can get around to it, heh.

Oh god.

I was too stoned the past few months to put up final dry pictures or provide a final update!

The resulting pot was marvelous. I took very few pictures of the final stuff, unfortunately.

Sorry, I think that might have been all I took! I kinda smoked it all :)



As for my next grow and the fate of the plants I had vegging?

Well I had to manually transplant them to soil, and wait 2 weeks. They recovered great after about a week. The plants are now outside. I'll post up a new thread in the outdoor forum once things get going, but it may take a while. Hopefully they survive
