it DOES grow like an Indica though.. quick finishing, reasonably short and christmas tree shaped

Hey, I have a few questions for you...
Do you have any experience with World of Seeds or Seedsman?

I'm curious if you have any input on these strains:
Seedsman- Columbian Red Haze, Mama Thai
World of Seeds- Columbia Gold and Wild Thai

If not, are there any thai and/or columbian strains you know to be of good quality?

also South India x Skunk if they would finish less than 10 weeks and its potency?

You are one of the rare people that I see has grown the DTC99.
Can you give more information on that plant (high,flavor,phenos,etc.).
How many beans did you pop...I remember they were quite expensive at the time.
You ever try any other Brothers Grimm stuff?
I grew DTC99 (F1 via Heavens Stairway) years ago and it was very good.
It was also one of the only grow reports I put up on OVERGROW.
How would you rate it against pure "C99"?
Do you have any pictures to back up what you have grown...

hey PRIMO - i can do two groups of 5:

the fist lot have been around, sort of, till the beginning, the inventors of this modern plant, they all spend a lot of time and money making sure their product lives up to their rep, rep that only real growers care about and they dont mess around with stupid, in my opinion, feminised seeds:
(in no order)

serious seeds
paradise
mr nice
dr atomic
sensi

The second lot of top class breeders are basically the same as the first lot, they have all done brilliant work furthering the interesting potencial of this plants genes like the first lot but some haven't been around quite as long, still top class but in my 2nd to top class section:

magus
spice of life
sagarmartha
bros grim
soma

All of these particular breeders have proven themselves to a very important level:
- 20 odd years of hermaphrodite free strains
- maintaining their less commercialy popular strains to keep variety
- breeding something new that has taken many years of homogenising, not just random crosses* that sound good and sell easily!
- creating niche positions for themselves by being unique and putting the hard work in in the early days

* random crosses that are rip offs of other breeders hard work. sadly many examples nowadayz

futher top notch guys include chimera, big buddah, federation, and de shaman.flying dutchman i believe is now owned by sensi which, from what i have seen of everything i have had off them in the last few years, is running them into the ground.sam the skunkman has also done notable amounts of selfless work for the cause.I do like what karmas doing because hes doing summit different and fit nicely into a niche, and his jack is phat .

now from here on your in the wid west of small companies who may not, do large scale work to validify their genetics by going through the rigmaroll of doing enough generations, selecting and siphoning through 100/1000's of plants to get the ones they are looking for. many of the other breeders, not various new ones <5 years, of whom i cant really judge yet, are in this business to have fun whilst making money they are not legends like the breeders in my list, and sam the skunkman

ps PRIMO you might like swiss bliss off paradise or one of federations strains.

hey ganja- seedsman columbia red haze and mama thai will be similar, both will not yield very well, they will have quite strong sativa trippy highs but will lack the indica high.both the columbian gold and thai WOS strains will actually really similar to the two seedsman strains all 4 strains may take over 12 weeks to finish, but many people swear by these landrace sativas.you want dr atomics thai lights big time

dkmonk- la nina x skunk will have a medium potency really, the kind of stuff you can actually toke contiuously and just get higher and higher, sweet taste, not bad.the south india x skunk should finish in less than 10 weeks their both short-ish flowering indicas. sour mud diesel i cant help you with ive tried various diesels but none without hermies so ive got to be honest and say i dont know, rez must know that although hes probobly to busy breeding single generation hermies for the masses.

Asiatica- yea i tried a few other bros grimm strains back in the day i had their ice princess and apollo 11 both incredible.DTCA99 & DTCC99 are amazing they really are, taste high and smokeability are better than the other 150 strains i have grown. I am currently turning the cogs of a breeding project that uses dtc99 as the backbone.every strain needs a bit of DTC.
germ rates were very good 90%+ females 90%+ and most inportantly hermies 0%, a bit of pheno distribution but fairly homogenous as well. what do you want to see?

yea bros grimm are now spice bros (not spice of life). at least thats what their known as on drchronic.com its hard to find em anywhere else and even on drchronics their not in products for some reason you have to click on seedbank and then your in a different list(slightly), but i dont know if that means their in stock or not, although they usually say when there not, email them they usually respond.

one point that should really be made, just cos you dont hear it enough and it is basic stuff, is

if you want to sell seeds to someone who is in all likelyhood going to be growing:

- indoors
- under lights
- in soil

as "most" people do,

then shouldnt you breed your plants:

- indoors
- under lights
- and in soil

then the genetics you are selecting will be right for most peoples set up. lets face it most of us need strains that perform under these conditions due to the legality of this persicuted plant.

Powerplant sounds intersting. Looks like DP and Nirvana both have it.

oh i didnt know that thanks for the info, on drchronics they dont say anything about that but it does in a very lengthy way explain the difference between the three strains - DTCA and DTCC both had the durban effectively bred out to try and leave as much sativa high as possible DTCB was the more indica spectrum phenos . well i am pritty impressed with what ive seen of em i bought about 70 seeds still got 40.k+

permabuzz- i like nevilles haze, i would rate it above other hazes, but their all a bit of a pain for various reasons depending on what you want from a plant,thats if your talking about a real haze and not just summit with haze in the title.I personally wont buy another pack off dp, too many broken hearted moments when you have to concede, and cut that hermie down. the nirvana one wont be the greatest, but no one else really does it anymore i saw that ministry of cannabis have one that im meaning to get i would try that if i were you, its north african by origin and durbans not from far away, their very simililar in taste and high so you may like that

i wish i could grow outdoors! one piece of advice though would be, put it somewhere in good sunlight, because cheese outdoors like many compact growing indicas can be really suseptable to botrytis or mould when they stay wet, so after it rains the plants in a good enough place to dry off always because it only takes 24 hrs or less for bud rott to turn your girl to gray mush.

sativa crosses are more what you want for a less hassle outdoor grow, but i live in the uk, the land of rain, like jurassic park but with rain instead of dinosaurs

lol, thanks for the tip. I hope i can grow it in my climate, this will be my first time hardening them off for outdoors. It may start to snow in mid Nov so Im gonna be cuttin it close. BB says the cheese will finish in late Oct. so ill probably choose the more indica dominent pheno to harden. Ill also be growing some afghan outdoors, any tips for that strain?
