Update

I just identified female flowers on the 4th plant (bottom left). So that makes 4 out of 4 female. :dance013:

Here's a picture of the canopy that has formed:



Still just feeding Maxibloom in regular tap water. I used some insulated copper wire as well as pipe cleaners to LST them.

I'm going to switch the lights to 12/12 now. I think it's time!

Thanks everyone for the advice I've gotten. This is going great and I'm really happy.

Nice setup, best of luck with your ladies. If you don't have more seeds, I would look into cloneing one of them. Get you a mother. I like the PL-L's, first I have seen them used, peaked my interest. I have CFL's for my mother/veg chamber. I am now looking into those. I will have to check out HD for a ballast, I know they have the bulbs.

...good deal man, great to see the hempy's and MaxiBloom straightened out your problems so now you can begin to actually enjoy this process, lol.

...and congrats on all the females, you are gonna LOVE smoking your own buds.

btw, i'd take xeno's advice and take a few cuttings from each of your girls and begin rooting them, you would really hate yourself if you grow some of the best buds ever and you can't reproduce the experience, ...i have several in my collection that i've been growing and enjoying for years so if you need help with cloning just give a shout out and we'll hook you up.

Love the simplicity of those 2-liter hempys: 3:1 perlte/vermiculite, maxibloom and tap water. The plants seem to love it too!

Would love to know more about your cabinet, presumably 3x55W PL-L, but how did you fit them into that space? Looks like you're keeping them nice and close to the lights, too.

Hey everyone, sorry for the long delay with an update.

I noticed that some of the leaf tips have a little bit of yellowing, but my guess is possibly the PH is not perfect. Being slightly color blind, I have a tough time accurately reading the color tester. I'm too broke to get a fancy digital one. Not that it seems to be a big deal, the plants are very much alive and packing on budular weight!

One of them is not quite as green as the others but I think it will make it, seems strong otherwise.

Regarding cloning - I have about 20 or 30 more seeds from the same bag (it was pretty seedy bud) - so I'm probably just gonna hatch a few more of those and then I'll take some clones off the next run. I'll be more ready to host a mother at that point I think. And there will most definitely be a next run, as soon as this one is finished

real nice man ! i think some of your ladies (the ones towards the left of the picture) need a lil more cal mag.. i may be wrong, but theyre just lookin a bit yellowish.. just a thought.. looking like a nice forest of redwood trees of bud. lol

Thanks for the tip, I will check ye olde garden shoppe to see what they have for calmag supplements.

Thanks for the comments and compliments folks! I'm really happy and amazed with how well the plants are doing. I'm pretty much just copying a lot of what others have done in the PLL thread and Microgrow forum, especially the Blynx cabinets. That was pretty much where I got the whole idea from. Also, the Hempy/K.I.S.S. thing works awesomely well and I highly recommend it.
