So I've been growing herb for a while (I'll keep this as short as possible lol). Right now I have a bedroom split in half with two 5x8 spaces with 2kw each and I grow 18-20 plants flowering in each room in a fllip flop scenario depending on whether its summer or winter then it changes a little bit. I use FFOF and Old Age Nutrients for these grows. I've got it dialed in quite well
So.... that grow is kind of a family thing which I set up and grew from a baby to a monster but I just bought my own house
It is a small house, my first little starter house and I don't have a lot of room. I have a 10x10 bedroom that i can use. I just traded one of my snowboards for a mostly complete CAP ebb and grow system. I got a res, a controller, 12 complete buckets, 3 pumps and a bag of fittings. AFAIK I need to get some hose, air pump/stone for res and clamps to complete the system.
I am looking to get a tent but I'm not sure what size to get. Another thing I'm looking at is a REALLY SIMPLE way to start out on my nute regimen and some REALLY SIMPLE advice as to keeping my ph in check. I will be home every day to check on the situation but I do work full time so I won't be there all day every day.
I don't expect to pull master yields even in the first two years but keeping plants alive and getting some good herb seems like a fair hope.
I have a box of GH FloraSeries nutes my grow shop gave to me for being a good customer. It has the micro, gro, bloom, florablend, liquid koolbloom, florakleen, rapidstart, floralicious plus and a ph testing kit.
I know I'll need an a good EC/PPM tester, any suggestions?
I know virtually nothing about hydro, and I'm a little intimidated honestly.
Also, somewhere along the line a while back I remember seeing somebody use this controller and res with a flood table set up. What are the advantages and disadvantages to each set up?
Also as far as getting it all started. I have a turbo kloner and a Botanicare cloner as of now, and I root in those and transfer them to dirt. Can I just let them grow long roots and transfer them directly to the hydroton medium or will I need to start going the rockwool/rapidrooter route with this system?
Thank you so much in advance for your responses.
