Hey Untamed my advice to you is to use 2 600's as the 400's just won't cut it for you, ok you getting the same wattage but not the same lumens. If it was my grow area I would be doing something simple like an ebb & grow bucket system, you can't go for wrong with this system, bio buckets are a lot of work to get them right and yea they take up alot of room.
If you go with the 600's I would put 6-9 plants under each light and again if it were up 2 me I would go with a great yielding strain with a great high like flying dutchman's Pot Of Gold, and if you wanted to maximize your yield you could integrate a scrog setup, this will give all your canopy even light distribution and it turn massive yield. If you do everything right you could pull up to 4 ounces a plant, but conditions have to be the closest to perfect, they will need perfect day/night temps, a well balanced feeding schedule, but the environment is the biggest issue here you will have to have your airflow and intake/outake running perfectly I can't tell you how important this is. It is possible and you can do very very well, just get your thinking hat on, and in no time you will have some of this:
Hope this helps some
