New LED Micro Cabinet

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to post up my new cabinet that I built. Went a little crazy as I now will have my main flowering cabinet, this mini one and a veg tent. I've always had the bug but now I am going full steam ahead to experiment and have as much fun as possible with it.

Cabinet Specs

10.5" wide 24" deep and 26" tall constructed out of cedar plywood and wood supports. Mini USB fans for air circulation. Two 120mm PC fans stacked on top of each other and a homemade carbon filter for exhaust. Everything is very nice and tucked in the back allowing for as much room as possible for growing. For lights I have two Roleadro UFO 138w (Actual draw is 55w). This gives me 62w per square foot which hopefully produces some great buds! I made a nifty slide system for the LED's so I don't have to worry about losing any height by hanging them.

Plants

For this box I am going to have it in 12/12 at all time. This way I can rotate in plants as others finish. I will either be going 12/12 from seed or putting in clones that are 5"-6" tall. Either way I plan on controlling height to keep everything an optimal distance from the LED's. I was reading on some reviews that these aren't the nicest so they don't bleach as much as my other LED's. For my first round I am going to start with 6 plants and see if I can fit any more. Does anyone have any insights on how many small plants I could grow in here? I have started with feminized seeds of Mazar, Pineapple Chunk, THC Bomb, Holy Grail Kush, Aurora Indica and an unknown strain from a buddy I have named J12. Everything but the J12 is starting from seed and the J12 is about 2.5" tall right now so a little more growth and I will throw her into flower. I am very excited to try more strains! I have some Blackwater, Critical Kush, and Pineapple Express seeds started for mother purposes. I will be using the Lucas Formula to keep nutrients simple in the small box.

What size container are you going to flower the plants in?

I have some little green pots that are 5" in diameter and 3.75" tall. I was thinking about using the solo cups but I wanted something that could hold a little more volume.

Nice cab, it's like a slight step up from a PC in size. You might consider 20 Oz soda bottles with the top cut off and some holes in the bottom like DrBudGreenGeens. I bet you could fit nine or ten in there and pull a plant every week perpetually.

I was thinking of that but that would take me drinking a lot of soda which I am not a fan of. Maybe I will slowly work towards that. I wasn't sure how many plants I could realistically fit in this box. Would love to have that many going and perpetually harvest! This along with my big box is going to keep me stoned all the time hopefully haha. I got my veg tent yesterday and it fits in great!

Quick update!

This is the veg tent right now. It currently has 2 x Blackwater seedlings, Pineapple Express and Critical Kush seedlings that will be going to my buddy who I just helped build his box. There is also my J12 clone that will be going into the mini flower box when it is about 5" - 6" tall. I plan to have a couple mothers in here and veg plants for both flower boxes.

This is the big flower box with 2 x J12 and 1 x Pineapple Jack. They are around 8" tall right now. They are just about to hit the screen so I will start training them soon.

Mini flower box right now. I have decided that I am going to get rid of the weird USB fan and add a PC fan for circulation as that one is not working well.

If I wanted to grow 8 plants would I be able to make this work or is it too close? Trying to figure out if I stick with 6 or go with 8. I have never done 12/12 from seed so if anyone has any advice for the mini flower box let me know!

It is a great little tent! I am very happy with it so far. It is their 32"x32"x24"

Immediately added the Pineapple Express and Critical Kush into the box after reading this! Thanks for your help! Guess it is time to order more seeds if anyone has any recommendations let me know!

Those green pots in the 1st pic on this page are half gallon pots right? Cause I have those green ones and the red ones. Once clones are almost rootbound, I transplant to bigger pots for 1 more week then flower..

You should think about getting the training rings for those pots. so you can start training early, and have tall bushes

Thanks dude! Where do you get those training rings? I believe the tent was just over $100. The openings on my SCROG for the big box are around 1.5" x 1.5".

I got them locally. I'll see if I can find them online.. There pretty useful tho, they clip onto the outside rim of the pot. And I'll usually bend them in the picture and use twist ties. Usually I'll top a girl and wait till the 2 branches get long enough and tie one left and the other to the right. Then as the branches get bigger/longer I'll make them both go around in a circle. Usually I leave the highest shoots/growth on the main stem before I topped, and use those to fill I the middle...

What size are those pots? The 8 in the picture. Are they bigger then 1-Gals?

These are the 5" in diameter pots. Not sure how much they hold. I have found some of those training rings but I cannot find any 5" ones. I can find 4" and 6". Unfortunately 6" will be too big for my box.
