so hows everyone in New England? Just wondering how your plants are coming along...mine are loving the weather after Irene...I actually brought them all inside (only got 5) during Irene, so no damage. I know typically people harvest at the end of the month, but I always thought they should go til the first or second week of October...that's what I'm shooting for anyway...I have a greenhouse so I can put them in there when there's a chance of frost.
So when do you all harvest?

Strain specific to me on harvest time, that and weather conditions.
Last yr. was a perfect season for me til the last week in Sept. It got really humid here, which brought on PM and a bit of bud rot. I harvested between 1'st & 2nd wk of oct. last yr. growing my own A11 x F13.
This yr. my Biddy Early's should be done by this weekend. :D

With rain in the forecast and the finish of a beautiful day, I cut my Biddy runt.
Few spots of mold and more amber trichs meant it was chop time! :D

looking great highlighter! What a great weekend here...its like the buds are swelling by the day...I can't believe it! I did cut a bud from each plant...and I actually vaped some yesterday...beauty of the vaporizer..lol. I couldn't believe what a great buzz I had. I'm thinking possibly next weekend if there's a lot of rain in the forcast or maybe even Oct 9th if I can get away with it. If I see any rot I'm just chopping. Its been like 80 degrees this weekend and dry.
What's everyone else up to with their plants?

so.

the gem states of the onion....i mean, union, NH/VT!!!!

anybody got any hearsay/leads on busts in the central parts of the states from last fall?

i gotta buddy in cntrl/Ncntrl nh says he knew of a few aerial busts in the boonies......mostly mountain folk growing their own i think, 3-5 plants......in ALL instances the cheese came and chopped, no busts.
one guy did apparently have around 20. ....no cuffs!

it seems for these parts where law enforcement is directly subsidized by the alcohol indiustry, dont it seem a wee odd that they have near-certain convictions and certain confiscations/impoundments in their porky meathooks and let it go.....?....when damn-near all budgets are getting whittled?

i know of some of the folk that got hit, they wouldnt know the difference between c99 and 20yr-old mexican brick...been growing the same stuff(WEED) for years.

its a head-scratcher.

Guess I'll bump this thread, it is a good one. I saw that NH is finally trying to decriminalize although will be vetoed by the Gov. Pretty rare that MA has more lax laws on anything haha.
A lil early for spring in New England, hopefully it will pick up soon though. I for one am waiting on some seeds and that 60 degree weather this week!

Yeah man this fucking weather has me pumped up already! Keep forgetting it's only march. This year imma run some Mosca C99BX1 outdoors'. 20 gal. smart pots with Blu-mats set up to a camo'ed 55 gal drum. Pretty well set and forget... should only have to go out about once every 3 weeks to a month to fill up the rez assuming that we go that long without any raise. I'm sold on blumats! Been using them indoors for the past 3 weeks and have nothing negative to say about them :) Hopefully they perform outdoors just as well!

sup guys love the thread. i am from ri and planning a grow for this year. 12 SLH clones some going in smart pots, some going in earth boxes and the rest going in good old soil pots and/or ground. still need to find a good spot thou. kinda wishing i had some beans to grow out with the clones as well. trying to get as much as i can, so i plan to go h.a.m. think i can pull a lb of 12 clones?

what is this? 70's? has me itching for our season. unfortunately, im back living at home in the unsympathetic garden state... so no front yard grow this year, but the late guerilla plan is in the works

im thinking - and should be buying - esbe's hybrids (flatland bubble, hp2, whitesuper07) shooting for early (late sept/early oct) harvest with little to no mold and VERY few visits. Mold ruined me in maine last year... ruined. my first mistake was strains. It's late for this season so im going to be just hoping for the best not knowing my spots too well.. strains need to hold up.

put them in the ground. guerilla or not. less watering, more roots, more dirt, more everything (including bud). a lb off twelve clones? Are you going out late?

yoo sup brotha, i am def going to throw some into the good ol'ground, but some of my main focus is going to be the earth hole grows. you familiar with backcountrys earth boxes?!?! its real neat. anyway i plan on throwing the clones out mid/ late may. Super lemon haze can go 9-10 weeks so i hope i make it. you think i can get 1lb total from all 12?!? they way u say it seems like ur saying ill get more then a lb which will be lovely. what strain did u use last year?!?! i just know in new england (to answer toxics question) you get strains that will finish up in 8 weeks or so and make sure it has good mold resistance. good strains they say are any early strains like early girl, early skunk etc, hollands hope, A.M.S (anti mold strain) and various others. if ur an indica person, research and shop for indica strains that originate from a place that sees alot ofrain because its less like to mold easy. sativias are light and fluffy and dont mold easy because air can air out and dry wet buds, but it doesnt mean all sativas wont mold. best bet is shopping just on mold resistant strains, if not that a good indica/sativa hybrid.

Well I love that dirty water!!!

Well I love that dirty water!!!

I thought I'd dig this thread up out of the dirt (no pun intended)

I found some good spots today that i need to prep soon before it's too late. I'm germinating some seeds now (Eroc x B3/N7 X SSH X C99 And Leb 27 x Deep Chunk) may end up popping some more if i have bad germination rates. What's the latest you guys ever put out plants here in MA? I took a step backward from outdoor years ago, i was too worried about rippers and all that jazz. But you know what? Fuck it! I'm giving it a go and playing it by ear, spread my plants out and not putting all my eggs in one basket, this way if one of my plots get ripped i still have another to fall back on.

So all NE guerrilla growers lets hear from you, what do you guys got planned for this beautiful New England season?

wow, this thread is a dinosaur. i started this in 06, and forgot it existed.haha

anyways, ill be doing my thing outdoors again this year in the swamp. coco, perlite, and some local soil mix. american pride, fish ferts, and guanos.

strains will be a bunch of crosses we made in summer 2010, lots of UDG gear.some allagash indica and others.im going to start bringing supplies out this week.

With in the next 2 weeks most likely I'll be putting my babies outside. Right now I'm getting my plots ready, just tilling up the native soil and throwing in some 10-10-10 time release fertilizer and dolomite lime. Gonna keep it real simple and cheap, this is more of just an experiment for me..

*EDIT*
I went out scouting a little while ago and found a perfect spot, direct sun and hard to get to. I have to clear the area out of skunk cabbage plants though, does any one know if MJ would thrive in the soil conditions skunk cabbage grows in? The soil seemed a little moist but not by too much, i'm gonna have to check the soil out again next time.
