Last year i had a couple of nice plants that i wanted to let go until they were fully ready. I decided a week to a week and a half should do it. Well before i could harvest them rain moved in and i lost almost half the yeild to mold. This year i decided if they were close to being done and looked like mold might take over i'm just going to cut them. Tough call to make, but i would rather have smokeable buds that are a little less potent than moldy buds.Buddle said:

Really got to go w/ a proven outdoor strain next yr. Hoping everyone in the area doesn't run into mold problems. I haven't yet (knock on wood) but after this weekend it could be a possibility.
. It sucks because the last couple of years I've had to chop a couple weeks early due to mold. That shit can destroy your whole crop quick! The Early Skunks are supposed to be a "mold resistant" strain, but I dunno if they can handle this amount of moisture. I'm gonna go check them today and hopefully I won't have to chop them before they are ready. I'll post pics at harvest (hopefully in a couple weeks). Good luck to all you coastal croppers.
