yea i dont believe they make rockstars anymore, i think they replaced them with the imperial star. my set was bought in the mid 90's, so its kind of old. but a new set heads, and they are as good as new!!
i play alot of metal and grind, so i have a double bass pedal.

I don't play any instruments so purely out of curiosity, what is all the tape for on your drums?

to dampen the sound, it kind of tunes them. :rtfo:

i used to play the bass but also had a pearl drum set that my sister used to play. i loved getting on that set and wailing on the for hours. i never took any lessons but i could watch her play and could pick up what she was doing and keep there rhythm pretty good.

Hi all, Hope everyone is well and gearing up towards the season!!! I have a couple of questions, which I am embarrassed to ask at this point, as I should know (or be able to find) the answers. So I figured I would ask the community at large and fill the gaps in my knowledge base . . .

1) Is the flowering times quoted by breeders include the 10-14 day stretch period at the beginning of flowering, or does the clock start ticking as soon as heavy pistol development begins?

2) I recently brought the light on time in my veg area down from 20 hrs a day to 14 hrs. The intent was to promote females in some new seedlings, but a side effect has been to cause unwanted flowering in 2 mothers (NYCD, ChemD x C99). They are about 2-3 weeks in and have some defined pistol growth. To counter it and revert the moms back to veg (while still maintaining optimal female promoting conditions for the seedlings) I set the lights to come on for 1/2 hour to interrupt the dark period. I am also feeding them with a nitrogen heavy, bat guano tea . . . does anyone have any further ideas as to how I can keep these girls in veg?

3) I have a working understand of the harvesting process, using a jewelers loop to try to harvest as trichs are mostly white with perhaps a few amber (I prefer more heady highs to couch lock). I was wondering if anybody had some tips, or signs to watch for, to time the flushing process so as to have buds well flushed in anticipation of the optimal window of harvest. Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Muddywaters I am very sorry to hear of your loss. I adopted my family cat after high school, and she's been with me ever since, I can only imagine how broken up I will be when she passes . . . again I'm sorry.

As soon as I can bear to write about it I will chronicle my first (failed) attempt at home ownership which was so miserable it was comical, I hope by re-telling it I can help someone else avoid the same mistakes, and maybe get a few laughs in the process . . . if anyone remembers the old movie "the money pit" the least I can say I didn't fall through the floor. Hope all is well with everyone!!! Go Sox!!!

Hey darkknight hope I can help

1) Flower starts once you switch to 12/12, this includes stretch.

2) I imagine that if those mothers have started to flower fully you are going to get some funky reveg growth on them. Probably a good idea to put them under 24/7 light, pretty sure I remember reading that it's best to reveg plants.

3) Hard to know for sure exactly how long a plant from seed will go the first time growing it. Go by the breeder description or other people's accounts of the strain on here. I like to flush for about 2 weeks.

Sorry to hear about the house man, hope it's not too bad. I bet you can make it good enough for some plants to grow in :smoke:

I find this an intriguing question. The quoted time by vendors is often and understatement of reality. I'm sure this varies from one vendor/breeder to the next, but as a whole I find if they say 8 weeks, count on 9 to 10. I go by the plant, but I find as a rule, add a couple extra weeks to let the plant get mostly ripe before starting the flush. I have an Iced Grapefruit right now from Female Seeds.. they quote 'around 8 weeks'.. mine are on week 11 now and just now at 50/50 cloudy/clear trichs with very little amber. I'm gonna chop it tho based on the looks of the plant, it's time to start he flush and get her down. Anyway.. just my opinion.

mgk :tiphat:
