-Only LED, CFL, or fluorescent lighting is allowed, unless otherwise approved by the fire department.
After reading that, you'd think there has been a rash of "grow house" fires caused by people growing pot inside.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - As home marijuana grows increase in popularity, they are also increasing in size and scope.
In light of the safety concerns that have surfaced regarding residential marijuana grows, the Colorado Springs city council approved a set of regulations Tuesday intended to protect surrounding residents from potential hazards and even odors.
The ordinance was developed over a period of several months by CSPD, CSFD, and members of the community who grow marijuana in their homes.
The Indoor Flora Grow Operation ordinance applies to not only growers of marijuana, but any flowering plants.
Among the requirements approved by city council on Tuesday:
-Only 150 square feet of a residential structure can be used for a grow operation.
-Only LED, CFL, or fluorescent lighting is allowed, unless otherwise approved by the fire department.
-Ventilation systems are allowed, but they must be the filtered type; Odors cannot be detectable beyond the structure.
-Pitfalls or booby traps intended to harm anyone who disturbs the operation are strictly prohibited.
-Fire inspectors have the authority to inspect any structure with a grow operation for compliance.
LED's are getting ready to be very popular in Colorado Springs
Notice how they didn't limit plant count, but square footage and lighting? This is perfectly within their "legal rights" as a zoning issue. I don't agree with it, but at least they didn't limit plant counts.
Now will they apply this to an urban gardener that is getting his outdoor vegetable crop ready for the spring? I bet not.

my point exactly
just like the BHO ban
you can run butane thru pipes packed with ANY PLANT MATTER BUT CANNABIS - the minute u put weed in a tube with tane you are a felon tho.....
Perhaps they should be thinking about this in another way. The BHO ban, they want to stop stupid people from blowing shit up like a meth house going boom. People are still going to go and do it, so why not set up a system where you have to take classes with the end result a License from the state the certifies you to do something like a drivers license. Then if you get popped for not having a license, it's no felony.
lets be clear:Perhaps they should be thinking about this in another way. The BHO ban, they want to stop stupid people from blowing shit up like a meth house going boom. So I ask, why bother following rules that make no legitimate sense?
If someone told you that the stores were all closing, and the govt food banks were the only option where you could only eat a ground up unidentifiable bread like substance called "Nutraloaf"... (which is a real prison punishment)
and then, they dictated that you still had to grow the food, yet give it all to the government to make this loaf, and as producer, you could keep nothing for yourself, even as the actual farmer. (which actually happened during Ukraines "Holodomor")
would you still say "Well, at least I'm being fed."?

At what point do we all collectively say "Fuck that, I wont do as they dictate, I'm just going to live."?
But is nutraloaf vegan?

It is everything the prison eats that day, blended and mixed into a biscuit dough... so its prison grade bologna, mixed with cake and beets and mashed potatos etc....
given to the solitary confinement problem cases...
there are rumors in some places that it is actually the scraped off plates of uneaten food from other prisoners.
The state set up a system to have collection and/or processing centers. Why can't you pay them a little to process your own harvest??? Has any-one tried? Seems like this would be va reason to keep my med lic..
That is one tall, heavy metal, bong
