After reading that, you'd think there has been a rash of "grow house" fires caused by people growing pot inside.

seems to me the state/city just is telling people wht they can and cannot do with the electricity they are paying for....

seems like i fyo uwanted to run hps 1k lites you COULD, just NOT to grow with...... real nice

can't grow outside, can't grow with anything that can produce a nice harvest. Guess we should give up growing our own at home and now buy from the stores.

next they will be telling every one how few of those cfl's we can have and how many watts of power we can't use, and time of day we can use those lights...

bottom line; fuck colorado springs & fuck regs like this (over restrictive in my opinion)

some pretty good micro grows on icmag using CFL's, and i've seen people use the 300w CFL's hung vertically downin the canopy; perhaps used in conjunction with horizontal LED lights you could pull something off.... still might be easier to move some other place in the state (was for me)

I bet you can run metal halide to light up the outside of your property, garage, shop, but not to light up plants.

ok.......

my point exactly
just like the BHO ban
you can run butane thru pipes packed with ANY PLANT MATTER BUT CANNABIS - the minute u put weed in a tube with tane you are a felon tho.....

Pretty sure the springs has limited the plant count to 12 already prior to this new stuff, regardless of your red card or doctor approved higher plant count.

Now it seems that they want to cut the balls off if you wanted to veg out and grow 12 monsters.

http://www.krdo.com/news/local-news/city-council-approves-new-rules-for-indoor-home-grows-/73402668

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - As home marijuana grows increase in popularity, they are also increasing in size and scope.

In light of the safety concerns that have surfaced regarding residential marijuana grows, the Colorado Springs city council approved a set of regulations Tuesday intended to protect surrounding residents from potential hazards and even odors.

The ordinance was developed over a period of several months by CSPD, CSFD, and members of the community who grow marijuana in their homes.

The Indoor Flora Grow Operation ordinance applies to not only growers of marijuana, but any flowering plants.

Among the requirements approved by city council on Tuesday:

-Only 150 square feet of a residential structure can be used for a grow operation.

-Only LED, CFL, or fluorescent lighting is allowed, unless otherwise approved by the fire department.

-Ventilation systems are allowed, but they must be the filtered type; Odors cannot be detectable beyond the structure.

-Pitfalls or booby traps intended to harm anyone who disturbs the operation are strictly prohibited.

-Fire inspectors have the authority to inspect any structure with a grow operation for compliance.

LED's are getting ready to be very popular in Colorado Springs :)

Notice how they didn't limit plant count, but square footage and lighting? This is perfectly within their "legal rights" as a zoning issue. I don't agree with it, but at least they didn't limit plant counts.

Now will they apply this to an urban gardener that is getting his outdoor vegetable crop ready for the spring? I bet not.

I bet you can run metal halide to light up the outside of your property, garage, shop, but not to light up plants.

ok.......

The municipal codes on HID placement I bitched about yesterday become extremely relevant just one single day later....

And you're all just going to say "oh, well..." ?

"guess I'll sell my 1k's and buy new led lights"

and the ODOR thing? How can you even defend against that in a court?

Its an automatic loss, just roll over and show yer bellies.

fuck that. I wont live on my knees.

If I lived there I wouldnt change a thing.

The only good places left are unincorporated... what does that tell you?

I for one am done listening to the incessant bullshit from dimwits in suits...

I dont live there, but I would not comply.

Does anyone remember the time when the average growers had balls? back in the illegal days?

Shit, I used to grow guerrilla style in TEXAS.

Now here in a "legal" recreational state we just fold like cheap suits and roll over like dogs?

Not me.

Perhaps they should be thinking about this in another way. The BHO ban, they want to stop stupid people from blowing shit up like a meth house going boom. People are still going to go and do it, so why not set up a system where you have to take classes with the end result a License from the state the certifies you to do something like a drivers license. Then if you get popped for not having a license, it's no felony.

I hear what you're saying about idiots... but instead of a license that you can SUBMIT an application for, how about free taxpayer funded classes on basic safety that you can CHOOSE to join?

Seriously, how much is involved? really?

It'd be a 30 minute "class" that I'm sure people would not be reluctant to teach.

A public safety initiative to teach a 30 minute class 2x a month cant be that expensive.

Fuck.... the ONLY lesson needed is "proper ventilation methods & gas vapor accumulation timelines" ...
... along with a 70's style filmstrip of burned and charred bodies and testimonials from people who've already burned themselves beyond recognition and lived.

I dont think anyone would be opposed to that.
It does not need to be forced.

As a taxpayer, I would LOVE for the money they've already stolen from me actually be used to OUR communities benefit.

I'm a bit tired of them using our money for rebuilding every other mismanaged corrupted bombed-out or failed nation while I drive my children across crumbling bridges with exposed, rusting and expanding rebar, further cracking the concrete...

the patch jobs they do dont actually address the issue.

Much like this.

non-compliance would simply make this yet another fight between growers and bureaucrats.

As you said:
People are still going to go and do it

I'd rather study the thermodynamic properties of hell than continue to SUBMIT to their certifications and licenses.

I will not pay money for a certificate that says that I get to be limited and somewhat free-ish.

I'm not gonna fucking ask for permission to be a free man.

In my opinion, it is long past time for free men to get some strength of will and strength of mindset once again.

We are free, unless we choose not to be.

We outnumber those who oppose freedom.

We should start acting like it.

lets be clear:
there is NO CLASS that i can take in colorado to obtain a license to blast bho for my personal use
the ONLY people who can make bho are licensed by the state to SELL concentrates, NOT just make them for personal use
personal use is 100 % illegal and no way to make it legal if u want to make BHO for personal use from your own harvest.

more people start fires by misusing gasoline than butane.... probably more fires started from misusing generic kitchen items than bho explosions.

in co springs there are regs now stating that the ONLY people who can use HPS lights are the ones licensed by the state to produce for sale to the public (med or rec), but anyone producing their own for personal private use cannot use HID lites on plants, but if you want a 1k hps security lite on motion sensor..... probably ok - who cares, right?

So I ask, why bother following rules that make no legitimate sense?

If someone told you that the stores were all closing, and the govt food banks were the only option where you could only eat a ground up unidentifiable bread like substance called "Nutraloaf"... (which is a real prison punishment)

and then, they dictated that you still had to grow the real food ground up and used, yet give it all to the government to make this loaf, and as producer, you could keep nothing real for yourself, even as the actual farmer. (which actually happened during Ukraines "Holodomor")

would you still say "Well, at least I'm being fed."?

At what point do we all collectively say "Fuck that, I wont do as they dictate, I'm just going to live."?

My greens have beaten shop greens in flavor cleanliness and quality 100% of the time they have ever been compared.

Why must I be limited? Because corrupt business and government collusion dont like competition.

It is everything the prison eats that day, blended and mixed into a biscuit dough... so its prison grade bologna, mixed with cake and beets and mashed potatos etc....

given to the solitary confinement problem cases...

there are rumors in some places that it is actually the scraped off plates of uneaten food from other prisoners.

The state set up a system to have collection and/or processing centers. Why can't you pay them a little to process your own harvest??? Has any-one tried? Seems like this would be va reason to keep my med lic..

When I was inside (70's) they just mixed all the left overs together and called it ship wreck, all inmates had ship wreck once a week

Why would you pay Somebody else to do what you could do yourself?

Why would you want to trust somebody that you don't know with your precious product that you use to maintain your health? (Carded or not)

It's not a ridiculous notion but there's zero choice given.
We need a few Darwin Awards now & again to remid us that were human!
Fuck compliance!!

It is illegal, period, for any government to make legislation that is designed to protect us from ourselves. Such laws are the basis for slavery & the removal of personal, individual liberty.

Yall that want to comply...
Go right ahead...
Quit trying to force compliance upon those that wish not to.

C4, you've got your head right where it needs to be.
Stay solid, stay strong, resist!

I will not comply.
I will not cooperate.
