New CEA Room build questions

The positive pressure is to keep micro organisms out of the grow space. Doesn't have to be much. Defiantly don't want negative as this allows "stuff" to be pulled into the room.

I always thought a negative pressure room was better because it helped manage smells.

Does anyone go negative pressure and put a filter (pillowcase good enough ?) to catch incoming bugs & mold spores (and maybe cannabis pollen) ?

Check out the suggested RH levels RDWC require in both vegging stage and flowering stage, any you will probably discover your going to need a humidifier.

In the vegging stage the RH needs to be quite high.

Yeah I saw that. That's why I figured a humidifier might be needed at least part of the time, especially during veg. I think they recommend 65-70% RH with higher temps. The carbon scrubber won't work at that humidity, but the humidity will be lower by the time it is required.

Smells can be managed via re-circulation. The slight positive is to keep everything out that might cause issues such as mold spores.

Just to be clear, this room is veg and bloom all in one, which I consider an advantage. The lights have the perfect spectrum for all of the plant life cycle and by mounting them permanently on the ceiling they will provide, by design, just the right amount of light throughout the entire cycle.

I've also decided to experiment with far red LED lighting as well as supplemental UVB via Mega-Ray mercury vapor lamps. I'm really hoping to shorten up the flower cycle with the far red in conjunction with the CMH. I know there's a lot of back and forth on UVB, but since it is part of the sun's spectrum I'm going to try it.
