New BOG Strain coming? Cali-O-Gum?

I think many will find my newest project interesting.

Many know of the legendary Cali-O clone that has been passed all around for about 30 years now. This clone was sent to me by my good friend, "BigLove". He tells me that she flowers in 45-50 days and she looks done to me at 48 in this pic. I have placed her in the dark for another 72 hours as of now and I made a few seeds.

I used Bogglegum pollen on a couple branches. Of course these few seeds will need to be grown and stabilized so don't look to see BOG Cali-O-Gum until sometime next year if it works out. Have a peek...

May i ask why u used Bogglegum over Bogbubble? Just curious

I still have yet to try Grape Punch and Sour Bubble. I am about finished with LSD, I will come back to that later, after I have tried your newest strains.

well seeing that cali and blueberry made a nice cross (orange crush) i would imagine a nice bubblegum with cali-o would work out nice.

though it's interesting that your cali finishes in 45 to 50 days, i find that cali-o (the original cuitting at least) is best at around 56 days.

though if you dont mind me asking bog, what are you looking to accomplish from crossing the two? cali is already a good yielder, and already has a great flavour, same with bubblegum, so whats to improve upon with these two coming together? maybe lowering the cali's flower time a little? hmmm... it'll be nice to see what you do. take care

Bog you will do good.. And go beyond the usual mix of unknow genes... How about place a 3rd Gen backcross of Kail Mist into the mix somewhere? I know your smart but some more two cent maybe you can find a short flowering Kail Mist and keep the flower time down. I love what your doing and all your project... Can't wait on Sour Bubble... I like the idea of working with an old clone

And of course it just wouldn't feel right to welcome her genetics into my pool without using one of my males to poke her.

GP will work the Lifestar project while I finish Sour Bubble and start this one.

Why did I choose Bogglegum? This clone doesn't look like that great a yielder to me but maybe we have different standards. I mainly breed for unique tastes so that my strains can be recognized as what I claim them to be.

The orange in the cali-o is true and precious to me. That citrus flavor will actually improve the taste of bogglegum and an orange gum sounds great to me too.

Stability can easily be achieved given time but if all the genetics going in are great then the children will be special kids too. BIGLOVE showed his love to me with his gift and now I wish to thank him publically. Love is why this project will be sucessful.

When good intentions from others assists me it always seems to prove out. I am not a scientist but good method is easy in reality and quality control is best on a smaller scale.

Have a look at this Giant Bogglegum plant to see what it has to offer this strain please.

I wouldn't say it is a bad yielder as I didn't put any effort into this one. It had only the one transplant but all I want from her is a taste and a few seeds. BOG
