got some good news this weakend

a very good friend of mine that i've known since i was 3 and a half years old called me and wanted to smoke. so we are smoking and talking about gods great plant, so i show him some pics from this site. he was blown away by carefree1's plants and wanted to know if we could grow some dank ass buds.so you know i said of course. it will be at his house a few miles away from me so i will be able to check on them everyday if need be. we still have some things to work out but it's on

it's funny how different i feel about everything now that i am able to start back up. makes everything a little easyer to deal with. pm me if ya need anything and stay safe and healthy.

I have survived..as you see.

Thank you all for replies and watching things while I was away.

The OTF specimens appear healthy and happy, the test groups are yielding up some good data about nutrients, fertilizers, and addititives.

I am also getting good info on how and when they flower after having been 24/7 light mothers as compared to 18/6.

Greetings;

Arrived home late the other day after several days in the OTF,[ at 106 deg. fahrenheit] and much hiking.

The Bulb awaited me at the Safe house and was sent on to me, BULB INSTALLED, Bulb success!

Plants happier alreay, now to replace the other 400 watt and the 600 watt and we are good.

Thank you Zoolander for Bulb and heavy packaging!

Here is Chocolate-Elephant Thai from 15 year old seeds direct from Thailand..

it was sprayed with Bushmaster and a Commercial fruit 'setter' and has formed flowers much faster than the other phenotype of Chocolate-Elephant Thai.

Specimen started in January[late] from seed:








as you can see my 'partner' did not follow my instruction on correct counter measures for spider mites, and they are compromised by moderate infection.

I took strong action in dealing with this and put on the bio hazard suit and sprayed all plants with Floramite delivered at 1/2 tsp per gallon for a total delivery of 4 gallons .

treatment number one at 7 am , treatment number 2 at 8 pm, treatment number 3 at 6 amm following day.

w/ trt at 3 day int. this week only.

all treatment must terminate by end of week. with residual flor activity for 21 days.

WOW the OTF is looking awesome. Hope some of those plants are seeded, cuz that is a gold mine in there.

Very impressive. Need to really be on top of the mites to keep those little suckers down. Not easy when it's so far away.

What is bushmaster and commercial fruit setter? What are their active ingredients?

Sorry to hear your spider mites are getting foothold in there... Some people just don't realize what they're up against... Greenhouses are much different than growing out in the open... A whole different ballpark.... best of luck getting them under control...

The flowers are fattening nicely.... Love this time of year....

Do you leave the OTF open in part of it, or do you close it up at night?

NOTES ON BOGGLEGUM NEBER 4 [my numbering, BOG never had BX or other numbering of BOGGLEGUM]
BG #4 was most productive of all BG's and also most prolific of trichome density. It produced fully hermaphrodite flowers in all indoor tests , even under most favorable conditions.

It did NOT produce these while my health was good.

It began to make them AFTER my coma and absence from grow. Grow was taken over by 'other' and plant was severely stresses by under watering and other problems, pest,no nutes,light changes..etc.

plant was revegged BY ME in sept of 2006. and had herm flowers from that point on.

If herm flowers were picked off EVERYDAY while in flower, then in about 2 weeks in STOPPED all production of herm and went fully female.

If herm flowers were left on for any significant period plant never recovered to either male of female strcture and had odd, half male half fem, flowers through entire cycle with little to no real bud development.

Bogglegum #4 NEVER produced any male or hermaphrodite flowers in outdoor environment.

Amazing work and and amazing project Southwind. I was fortunate enough to get in on the initial wave of BOG gear back in the overgrow days, unfortunately I was the victim of a burglary a few years ago and lost all my genetics and all my equipment. A real shame.

Anyways, I've since moved far away from the rough area I used to live in and started anew. I think I may have to spring for some of the remaining bx3 and LSD over at BCBD. They are charging absurd prices, I'm not sure I can really afford it but I long for those beauties in my stable again, for medicinal and breeding purposes.

To this day bx3 was one of the few strains that I could truly rely on to take care of my insomnia every single time without fail. Somehow I just can't build a tolerance to the stuff.

So happy to see you fighting to keep BOG's stuff alive, he was such a major contributor to my development as a grower back in the og days, a real shame he slipped into the shadows.
