Umm....so this is a good thread and all...except maybe for this...

I always thought a good one would be two people on a couch, one boy and one girl. They have beers and there are a few scattered around the table and couch. They are obviously drunk as hell.
Scan over to a guy smoking a bong in the same room, just a little ways away. Obviously high as shit.
The drunk dude starts to lift up the shirt of the drunk girl, she starts saying "No, I dont want to. Please stop, please stop." The guy just pushes her hands away, and she is too drunk to really do anything to stop him.
The guy smoking walks over and hits the drunk guy in the head with the bong, and pushes him off of the girl. He helps the girl off of the couch and says "I will walk you home, you dont need to be around this guy."

Calm down tbc, I think he was being ironic about the way the gov lectures us about the 'dangers' of smoking pot while they openly peddle the most destructive drugs out there in every shop.

For example, you see that stupid anti-cannabis advert on tv telling you how dangerous smoking herb is then the next ad comes on telling you to buy beer making no mention of the horrible effects it can have (apart of course from the tiny bit of text telling you to enjoy responsibly).

They are total hypocrites in every sense of the word.

It pisses me off to no end that the most harmless and helpful drug is illegal, yet the most dangerous, alcohol, is so accepted. You are considered an outcast in American society if you do not drink. It is sad but true. Everyone drinks, it is greatly incouraged. It makes me so damn mad.

Two people hanging out, one with a bottle of tequila, another with a FAT sack of nugs. They say "Man, lets get real fucked up." First guy, "You want a drink?" Second guy, "Nah, I dont drink....wanna toke?" First guy, "Nah, I dont toke." They both proceed to consume their vices.
The first guy is finishing off the bottle while the second guy loads the, oh let's say 30th bowl why not, and tokes it. Having a little trouble, but still functioning quite well. The first guy keels over dead from alcohol poisoning.
IF YOU DRINK TOO MUCH YOU WILL DIE, IF YOU SMOKE TO MUCH...YOU'LL JUST BE HIGH.
People drink way too much anyway. Living in a college town sucks balls for this very reason. Everyone that is opposed to marijuana should have to down a whole gigantic bottle of vodka or whatever they want, while I sit and smoke and laugh. Alcohol poisoning, I mean honestly...how is it better than coke then? Or any of those hard drugs?

I'm not saying alcohol is not dangerous. It is. It's also a lot more dangerous than marijuana. There's no doubt about that. But just because someone drinks, doesn't mean they are downing an entire bottle of vodka. I don't see how looking at an extreme like that really proves anything. Yes chugging a bottle of vodka will kill you...just like drinking too much water. Anything in excess is going to be bad for you, even smoking maryjane.

You are also assuming that everyone that likes to drink also likes to go to frat parties and that type of shit. Man I wouldn't be caught dead at a frat party. And i'm sorry, but i'm not going to buy that a girl is more likely to be raped at a frat party than a smokers party. When I drink, I don't suddenly assume that rape is ok.... Maybe they taught you that in DARE or something, but people that don't think rape is ok probably still dont think rape is ok when they are drunk....

Someone that is willing to rape a girl, will also be willing to rape a girl after smoking weed. If you don't get what i'm trying to say here, its that substance has nothing to do with it. People have morals and values and I don't believe those get thrown compleletly out the window just because somebody drinks.

I'm not saying I agree with the fact that weed is illegal and alcohol is promoted non-stop. I think that is completely fucked up, because as I said before, I do think alcohol is the harder of the two drugs. But I think in moderation and with a little bit of reason, alcohol can be just fine.
