Getto,
I few questions......

-You say your lights in the new room are on the lowest setting, do you feel maybe the room is too small for 1kw? i ask cause i just built a 5x10 room for Veg and was planing on 2 vertical bare bulbs, Bad idea?

-When you use EWC tea, are you running that through your system? i thought it would muck up your system, don't the beneficials die off quickly?

-looking for an IP cam myself, which model are you using?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks, transitions will definatly be smother now. Looks like my ideal flip size is about 48" so I have more room now to get them bigger before they go in the flower rooms.

I scratched the whole Aptus trial thing, seems that shit causes major biofilm issues in water culture. It has a pot life of no more then 3 days. I can only do water changes every week at the most.. oh well

Im open to suggestions on a side by side for nute trials.

I normally run H&g base, BB, OD, drip clean, ewc tea. Maybe just running a base with no boosters. I dont know, prolly should stick with what is working for me..

Got the Ip cam in the veg room today, cool to check on things from anywhere..

Try a H&G vs H16 side by side for their bases. The BB and OD combo always worked well in my UC's but I think ull like the Heavy.

I like the higher resolution ip cameras that AXIS makes upto 3mega pixel, that way you can really zoom in and see nutrient deficiencies etc in the leafs

I have a place on blumats that Im only going to on average now every 3 weeks just to switch over the res valves. Or adjust the res ph if i see somthing lacking it

if I could build one of thoses Grobot knock offs like you id only have to go just to harvest the plants

gettogro awesome job I've read every tread you ever made.... from riu, *********, and now icmag. you've inspired me to do a undercurrent system. I'm just waiting on my order uni-seals and water pump then ill be up and running! I'm only working with 8 brute tote(20 gallons) in a 4x8 tent with 2x 2000w scrog style. I've made notes on everything you've done.... but i have one question that no one has asked you in any of the forms..... how long do you flush for in the undercurrent system????

Just out of curiosity what was the reason you changed your veg system from hydro halo rings to the UC totes?
Hey Game, yeah gettogro's trees and setup are simply astounding! :tiphat: I was thinking Hydro Halos but rethinking Heath Robinson's superflow Waterfarms for top feed (just a 1/2 hose pouring on top of hydroton) and wanting even distribution (especially for early veg). He's also pulled huge trees this way. I have a DIY top feed UC system (no air stones or pump) and am making an 8" diameter ring of 1/2" tubing with 6 EZ-Clone type emitters per site (brand name DIG 07-081 180 Degree jet spray).

You can still get humongous trees with the high-flow top feed method. A lot seem to like 1800 gph top feed along w/3600 gph recirc using mostly Danner pumps, some say it's overkill but depends on how many gallons you're using. I remember some pushing 4 lb trees using UC & MPB systems this way.

Yes it'd be very interesting to what gettogro says. Hey everyone enjoy the weekend! :D

Hi Stonefree69, Ive gone down the DIY UC route aswell but its the vegging system Im having difficulties with. There just isnt enough room to accommodate 6 x large UC containers.
When I saw gettgro's veg setup I thought Id give it a try.

Good luck with your op.
