Maha, just out of interest......how many f1 real nevil haze have you grown were you can confirm they directly came from nevil and therefore used the real parents......
Its flower powers thread and he is a decent guy so I wouldn't want to clutter his thread with unnecessary drama and nonsense so no attacking or beef....but I was just genuinely interested....
I know very few people are left around that got to check out the true nevils haze.....it had many phenotypes that could take people to the brink of psychosis.....alot of phenos stunk strong too....and many would have a ridiculously strong taste to the point it was like it was dunked in chemicals.....the#21 that afew people got to smoke along with other phenotypes that we know were confirmed to come from nevil and were the real deal nh....quite afew of the guys said the same thing...it gave the effect of taking their breath away....taste too strong....and effects too strong...and many experienced long-term old school smokers have found plants in the original that have given that best thai stick effect only more electric and faster and harder onset.....its ashame a lot of people judge it on imitations or the 1 or 2 clones around...some of which cant be confirmed...

Anyway the plants look very nice....big yielding.....good growing flower power...ganj on man

Your description of Nevilles Haze better fits to White Widow.
Strong sativa high,pungent smells,very strong taste chemical(for old school sativa.)
and very pungent camphor/chedar/sandalwood when burning.
I growed again WW 5th time in last 10 years and its very very good Sativa line.
If I have to cross somethimg with haze or Sativa...it will be my first choice 4 shure.

My most "indica" pheno of recent grow of WW it fits your description like 1/1.
It was 66 days flower,other 2 were 80 and 93+.
This one smells like coffe,metallic,lemon,pine.
Pheno 80 days smells like spicy chemicals.
And last pheno is like musky, chemicals with strong notes of tobacco.

There are members that actually have the original Nevil Haze cut. They don’t really talk about it , but they have it. I was told it’s very strong get you very high but nothing about causing psychosis or tasting like it was dipped in chemicals ha ha. I don’t believe in that any marijuana can cause psychosis if someone has a reaction like that it’s because underlying psychosis was already there.

I get that line of thought but 95% of weed in the 70s and 80s didn't get me tripping but maybe 5% did. When you had special weed it cut through everything. Its not around now likely due to everything revolving around production and early flowering.

I done the widow x mullm...came out very good ....but I also recently got hold of that alskan ice thing (some of francos old seed) and done some bits with that..peace.

Thats just one cut..the real deal puts out many stong phenos...the cut your on about, 35,36,21,18 ..you can find many in the real thing......I know plenty of people who say its too dark....too strong and not very plesant......I would consider that as many people having a not nice experience with it....but as you know thats a mind thing........mac has a plethora of haze in his possession....including a f2 nh nevil himself made.....ask him what gives the strongest most darkest vibe....ask donald if he can be straight...what did the #21 do when he an his mates smoked it...too hot wasnt it or something....make people feel like it took their breath away...and have asma atak.......was you a newbie donald...maybe not used to smoking...or were your mates newbies

I'm afraid the seeds named white widow or black widow in the last decades are not really related to the original WW of the 90's, it's not a strain who would qualify as a sativa, it was a typical dutch hybrid making you more stoned than high.

Its not sativa like my Jack...In Amnesia league "sativa" I will say. Still didnt try phenos that are harvested at 80 and 93+ days.
They have much more sativa look one that was harvested cant remeber at day 95 or 98 still had white pistils much more than I like when I chose to harvest my plants so we talk about 114-120 days pheno.
I will make report in my thread "4 body and mind."
This thread is about Neviles haze x thh...and we are start to go out of topic with WW.

what is 21,
ive never had any nevils haze called #21,
i just grew a few from seeds shanti gave me ,
and while it was very strong ,
and eb said it was scary strong , but he was out of his comfort zone when he toked it ,
which can exacerbate those feelings ,
i thought it was very strong , but not all that nice with regards to the high,
ive had stuff as strong that was much more pleasant and enjoyable .

the more recent stuff i grew was from a friend on here who said it was older stock ,
pre 2012, i had trouble getting many going as a result...

Now mind you I smoked only a j of each . But I got more than a taste . I’d love to have had a Zip to really dig in and get a proper Idea of all the traits , but this is my brief thoughts

If the Nevils Haze is considered very strong than A5 could make some very uncomfortable

Soo I’ve never smoked traditional import or a pure Sativa / Haze aside from early harvest Tom Hill .

But the Nevils Haze to me was very much what I’d expect from a Sativa . It was Uplifting Bright alert , Great Outdoors Activity Type smoke

A5 Now that’s a Ride that you can’t stop at will , no emergency brake on that Train . That Rollercoaster where you keep climbing up , getting to the top and see the clouds . Than that bang hit by a truck . I’d say one of the more Powerful Hazes I’ve experienced . Driving Home Was exciting to say the least

The A5 Flavor profile was very Reminiscent of the Haze I grew up on from Washington Heights . This experience Confirmed my Thoughts of A5 Stock being the lineage of The NYC / Miami Hazes

Curious why the long flowering Hazes considered better than the short flowering Haze? what’s considered to be a long throwing versus a short flowering Haze?

I'd define long-flowering as > 16 weeks; Shanti has said that he and Nevil routinely binned anything that went longer than 16 weeks because it was "impractical." What a shame. Is it any wonder trip weed is extinct? I select for longer flowering hazes because there's usually a direct correlation between flowering time and the ability of a plant to put out a special effect and flavor that's not easily found in shorter flowering plants. I think about the best plants I've grown and they are all 18-20 week haze and Colombian girls. Also I can do this because I grow only for my own personal stash, and I have the patience of a clam.

That’s been my experience as well, there have been exceptions where the faster phenos were the better of the run but overall things that are 16+ have been the best to date.
