I know I know, surely the Thh will be a great improvement to the NH. NH is far to Indica, way too much NL5 in it for me.

Someday I hope to have grown and smoked enough of these long flowering varieties to feel the level of passion and conviction a lot of you clearly have on the subject. Every time I dip my toes in the nld I am impressed and alway let down when my stash is nothing but popular modern varieties.

Comparing pure Haze to NLHaze hybrids is like comparing apples and oranges.
Isn't that what few years ago, you and me, used to say to Hempy and co?

Mine is no opinion, nor a preference. Reporting only a historical fact.
You guys would not be growing and using Nevils Haze genetics in your breeding, 30 years after their creation, if they had not been the best Haze hybrids.
That alone is evidence enough.

And of course, I know what is meant with improving the NH.

Thats really interesting, I was just reading in Robert Clark's book 'Marijuana Botany' it talks about cannabis being 20 chromisomes diploid (2n). How is that confirmed to have 21 chromosomes. Will have to look back in the thread.

I crossed two different cuts of NH, and in both cases it was huge improvement of NH and thats why it is different than NH logically.

yeah some prefer SSH over nevilles haze, as SSH has more bottom power, more body high to it, in same sense somebody can prefer neville haze over original haze, because it is more stony spacey and less cerebral, but these people I cant assume as true haze lovers, they like indica mixed into it... I like it all, but as true haze lover, I prefer original haze of course.

as I understand it Tom Hill compares lumbo haze in Nev hybrids to his haze. or even more generally he talks about colombian genes as he knows it comparing it to thai phenos of his haze.

you mean the most widespread, as if there was only one seedbank in the world, it is logical that customers will buy it there, when they cant anywhere else. no competitors, and those other seedbanks which followed later, they just used knock offs like today, again no competition. of course, I dont say Nevil´s work is some junk or something like that. like I said I like his hawaiian haze and nevilles haze, either it is punto rojo pheno or super rare thai pheno. but that it would be significantly better than let say things from white buffalo, not to mention my hybrids, I dont think so at all.

Because I have a different interpretation of what he is saying to you.

Neville's Haze I grew and smoked a lot of but made a conscious decision to concentrate on other varieties because in the long run it seemed to have a detrimental effect on my mental health. Made me into a paranoid hostile jerk. Totally my fault for abusing it to such extent, but still, not like I'm totally enamored with the strain. But weak (even compared to some "Thai pheno"), or commercially prevalent, I just don't buy it.
