Homer Simpson voice - "Stupid ceiling limits"

Can't read my scorecard - 90 pages in, it's a mess. Did the Lucifer cross get Nev pollen?

I was fortunate to see these plants last wk. but seeing these latest pics, I'm just as astonished as I was then. :good:

That's the question, HL! I must have been under a rock when the Hell's Haze became a reality:) Loving the look of the BX's, amazing what they'll do if you play matchmaker properly. Great work, Slip!

I used a California haze male to BX the Lucifer cuts.It has a much different outcome than one of Shantis hazes. I can't smell any haze at all in these. It makes for giant plants!!:) This is a Sour BX with some F-13-HW's in the background looking purplish.Damn ceiling.:)

Very nice Slip - That CBDB certainly seems to favor the mother quite a bit by the way she crowns out like that - I am assuming the bump up in the yield comes from the extreme side branching of the male Digi Bx1. The Carolina clone grew straight up...virtually zero side branching - made her quite difficult to keep.

I guess I offended with my slightly "off" sense of humor a couple posts back. Sorry about that...I don't know - it still makes me snicker when I think how squirrel-ly he would get once he was convinced that everyone was starring directly at him...lol. I'm still friends with him to this day - just if we smoke together, we do it in the woods around a camp fire - where only the owls and the heavens are watching... :joint:

Oh man, no worries there. I have a friend from yrs back.He lives down in a bit of a fancier town than my "gentrified ghetto" and he thinks the cops drive by his house to hopefully catch him smoking a joint. Never seen somebody so paranoid, they must have frightened him when he was a kid. He's been threatening to grow cannabis for 25 yrs...he forgets his town has about 200 junkies to keep an eye on, let alone one very law abiding citizen scared of his own shadow. The damn junkies around here, they'll steal anything in sight...now they built an affordable housing area down the road a bit and I'm sure some decent folks live there but I see more and more street walkers everyday. Just looking for an opening...
They ought to just give the junkies their junk so they stop looting empty houses in the winter. I wish the state would realize that not everybody wants to be on junk and start giving it away to ease up on the break ins...On a lighter note, there's a motorcycle madman who comes out about this time every other night and speeds up and down the hwy at about 150mph. He must be a cop because I can't go 5 miles to my boat without seeing 3 cops hiding in some parking lot. He's not out tonight, maybe he hit a pole!!:tumbleweed:

In that case, I must just have a troll following my posts...seems nothing I say these days doesn't get "disliked" - hahahaha. 3 guesses and the first two don't count as to who it is.

Bahh...your garden is lovely. The size of your plants really makes me consider vertical bulbs. How / what do you do to protect your eyes when working in the garden??

Hello dank. frank...catching up on my reading when i saw your post...
you've helped me out over the years and don't even know it.. i guess thats what these forums are for. :thank you:

:tiphat:

My eyes are fvcked. I use #5 welding goggles but there's always the in between times when I wear only sunglasses or nothing. The worst is a daylight MH bulb. I had a white out from one yesterday when I accidentally turned my face into it. I swear my eyes were swollen a bit. I guess it's not any worse than forgetting your goggles skiing on a sunny day in Colorado and that's no good!:)

Some of my Early Pearl X Mullum S5 seedings last week. I've been in a rush to transplant them from beer cups before they start showing deficiencies. The plants that were growing too big for the cups and went into 3 gal pots turned around within a few days and are taking off fast. I'm going to have to flip these sooner than later. They're much bigger than this now. The Mullum Super 5 can be a long flowering cross so I don't want to go too long on the veg, just long enough to take cuts.:)

hey sorry for jumping in the coversation but I saw frank ask about eye protection from vert bulbs... my first few weeks of vert, I had no eye protection and I noticed right away the damage it was doing...

you can get a nice pair of shade 5 welding glasses for less than $20...

or you can get full face mask if you want to go all out...

they sell these sunglasses called method sevens marketed for growers and they are over $100 I'm pretty sure... LOL

Looking good slip ...... everything you grow seems to be gigantic lol

I use Maui Jim's"big khauna" ..... polarized ..... everything is so clear and not bleached out .... awesome for fishing!

I have a nice pair of Uvex ski goggle type #5 welding glases. They shut out all the light but I snapped the band and have some wire in its place so they aren't as sweet as before but they're really nice. It's just those moments when you say aw this'll take me one sec and then 5 min goes by!
Yeah my garden's ripe for the picking today, everything's just about maxxed out.A few can go another 10 but branches are breaking everywhere.
I was out fishing all morning, we saw what was prob close to a record sized bluefin clear the water.Just ridiculous that they grow that big, I bet she was 1200 lbs easy.I have a feeling we were being mocked by that devil fish:). Now I'm going to start up trimming. I cut some branches from the CBDB to clear the way for some new cuts, she's got the stink!! You can tell I'm wound up from chasing tunas, so silly!!:tumbleweed: I'll have some good pics of my Chem D x Topanga cuts.I pulled them out this morning.

I need to get on the water myself...man the last weekend was perfect for some great fishing - over cast, cooler temps - shouldn't have had to go out too far from shore - but never did make it out - glad your finding more time than myself! It's quite the adrenaline rush when you hook into them!

I'm glad that CB x DB is holding it's own for you - I'm surprised you can even smell it over those Sour Bx's - those look so on point! :respect:

note to self - welding glasses. Makes sense. Used to stare at solar eclipses through a pair I've got sitting around some place.

Wicked, tuna! :D

Why is it, everytime you mention yer boat, I think of this Smilie?

:shark: "We're gonna need a bigger boat!"

j/k, I'm jealous of your freedom on it. Enjoy every blessed day you can have w/ her.

Comin up on the full moon Slip. Good timing for fish AND plants :)
Your pics are lookin really good lately mate.

One thing you may want to do is check the autofocus setting (may be different if you are under macro setting or regular "auto") and set it for pinpoint metering.
That way, the sensor uses the measurement to a specific aiming point as the focal distance. Other options include a computer controlled average depth of objects in the view of the subject.
This gives good results usually, but (especially with macro setting) it is often useful to have precise control of focus.

FYI: This option may make it harder to get any focus at all if you are shooting in the dark before lights on.
Best to get a supplemental light in there (bright LED flashlight maybe?) to enable autofocus to work for better (clearer) results if that is what you are doing.

BTW: the thread pitch on the standard tripod base on the bottom of your camera is 1/4" x 20 tpi (threads per inch). Very common size. If a man knew where he would always be taking pics from, he could setup some way to support a a camera in those positions.
For example, I think it would be cool to have the camera mounted on something like a heavy base microphone stand (adjustable up/down) with a section of gooseneck at the top to allow you to move the camera then leave it in position, supported.

Just an idea I've been kicking around instead of the tripod (that takes so much room.)

Glad you boys are looking out for him HL :)

Some of you are damn good photogs, so it seems our Kid should have all the help he can take ;-)

No, HL's right once I start hitting those buttons everything goes crazy. I had the camera stuck on the tripod and I just started knocking junk over. One of the problems is that all the light in the shack is yellowish. I pulled out a few clones of Chem D x Topanga(Pure Kush, 818, one of those) and took this picture in the dark. The clones finished faster than the mom by a few days. They were about 18" tall and grown under T5's.
My time to pay the piper with the boat is coming fast. I burned off both tanks so I can pull her this week. Not cheap!! It's worth it though. Christ I couldn't even catch a bait yesterday:).
