Neville´s Haze Smoke Report

C

Chamba

I grew White Label Neville's Haze several years ago....a mate gave me a 4 seeds to try out...I also grew Nirvana Haze, Nirvana Haze/NL, Soma's Haze Heaven and a few other hazey strains, landrace sativas and other sativas that year..the WL NH was up there in potency but was the most indica influenced in looks and high compared to the other hazes.....but it had wonderful vigor, a strong high and grew into big strong plants with strong solid branches with hard buds....I'd grow it again, but I hope I'd get a more sativa influenced example to try, as the one fem I grew to maturity seemed to be 50% NL but like Aldous's it took longer than I'd like to wait for a haze/indica cross......

I crossed the male and female NH's with 5 or 6 different strains too.....the NH x NH were the best ones ( I produced hundreds of seeds, but I'm down to the last 10 or so now!) and are very similar to the originals and are/were uniform and strong, the Nev x Zamal were so-so so far, the NH x Power Plant were ok and the NH x Cindy weren't bad either..the NH x other Hazes were ok too...but no Cup winners there so far!..still looking!..

I've got a mixed seed bag of NH crosses from that year too I will grow out eventually......so many strains/crosses/varieties...so little time!

No sweat brothers. I know great things can bring great debates. I was the first one who was somewhat "questioned". I live in Colombia, and have been around sativa plants all my life. When i got my Neville´s Haze as a trade for Colombian Strains, i got them from someone who is a strain enthusiast. I, at the time didn´t know what Neville´s Haze was. It was after a few years, that i realized what i had in my seed stock. I have planted also Super Silver Hazes and other sativa dominant plants, but they are quite different than the Neville´s Haze. When they are babies, they have very wide leaves, characteristic of Indica plants. If you grow them indoors, they tend to mantain their indica qualities, but if you grow them outside, they will lean towards the sativa side. Now, i have read some of the posts here, and my credibility was put to test and THAT is something no one likes. As someone said before, you must have grown the strain, smoke that hash, fought the fight (better than seen), met the guy, etc.... I have over 20,000 dollars in seeds of the best quality that have
been collected, classified and stocked over a period of ten years.
As for now, MY NEVILLE´S (sativa or indica dominant) are drying and the results seem outstanding. Please stay put for some harvest pictures. They took over 130 days to flowers. It´s been hard work!

Peace

 Aldous - great job - 130 days is excellent. I prefer mine at 110-120 after reviewing and comparing microscope trich shots. Almost all of the sativa dominants appear to take forever developing from milky to 50% amber but then the harvest window closes exponentially.

Have you found the lime green pheno. The chocolate pheno gets binned - yuk. The purple pheno looks to lean to the indica side of things. Please share, what are your findings.

Hmmm....so, let me ask a question. Are there many phenotypes of Neville´s? That´s wicked!!!! Mine is very hmmm...lime and green...Just today i picked a little bud from the curing jar. It´s still not finished but i couldn´t resist. It amazing how fast the effects come to you. Probably less than a minute after you toke...we started joking about naming it Automatic or something like that. It´s very fast. Not a creeper. The high is very profound, yet not very stony, although you get waves.

Shit man! Being at war really sucks. We have been at it for 60 years now in Colombia. As a soldier i never lost a close one, but if i had it would have probably changed my life forever. It´s too bad all this things are happening in the Middle and Far East. You can´t really tell which part to take. Even saying what i just said could be considered an offense....

I agree the middleastern or far eastern people are very touchy about everything, I find that sativas that are harvested with clear tri's give me a real clear thinking type of high wich is my favorite, over amber trichomes wich I find weaker and more mellow, this is my opinion on the trichome thing if your tri's are getting red it's allready too late the thc has allready started to break down, red trichomes are the first step in a plant die-ing, after the tri's are red the calyxes start to turn red, then its even further down hill from there. I like my weed with clear trichomes because it's more of a trippy liquid feeling high, but you know there are different strokes for different folks

Aldous did you know one of the first men to die (US reg. military) in the "new" gulf war was a Colombian citizen. He was a young man (sorry I don't remember his name) living in Atlanta with his Colombian family. Right after high school (9/11) he voulanteared to go to Iraq and bought it when a car bomb blew up at his first ck point. I remember on the news in Altanta when it happend and they said all the young man wanted was US citizenship which was presented to his family after his death.

That sucks! I was a soldier too, and sometimes you are inside and you sort of wonder, what am i doing here? At least he died for something he really wanted. We get soldiers killed everyday around here. That´s why people are so close to the military. Here in Colombia, you have to be scared of the police, because they are always in the hunt for a good brive. If you are driving with some liquor on your head, or in the best case, smoking a fatty with the sunroof open, or maybe having sex in a public area, or maybe you don´t have you ID with you, they will try to get you to get their part. I remember a few years ago, an Argentinian friend and myself got caught with 60 gms of Cali (not California) prime weed. You must remember having 20 is legal here. We had three times the amount and my poor friend, being an argentinian - was in shock. He though he was being taken to a plane to be dropped in the sea with hands and feet cuffed. For a second it was funny. I knew they where going after a good 200 dollar brive. In a lapse of four hours, we got freed and went straight to the guy´s house to get another 60 gms. My friend was ecstatic. Only in Colombia he would repeat time after time. The next day we tok a boat from Cartagena to the Rosario Islands and stayed there until all 60 gms wehre gone!

I think it's fairly obvious to all that any degradation of your "rep" is self inflicted ....btw I never give out neg rep points....as a matter of fact I gave you positive rep points

the system has been changed ( about time!)

you can now see you gave you what...the member's name is now visible with the message..lol...now it's gonna be tough for those who always cowardly give out neg comments and points and "forget" to leave their member names! ..(hello Aldous!)

....click "User Menu" at the top of the page..then click "User CP"..it's all there......including my message and positive point to you

now how about the editing out your off topic rants, offensive language and other perceived hurts....and help clean up this not dead thread..

Nev Haze finish in Colorado?...hmmmm...with clones of a faster finishing example of Nev Haze, small pots, have luck with a late arriving Winter and artificially inducing 12 hours of darkness approximately 6 weeks or more prior to the natural photoperiod of 12 hours per day, a sheltered south facing spot with uninterupted sun ...then maybe, yes you could grow a strain that takes 100+ days to finish flowering....but taking the pots in and out at the same time each day for 6 + weeks is a PITA job!...but can be done..as a matter of fact I'm doing it now and on overcast, wet or stormy days I leave her indoors under lights..

but ..you might be disappointed if you get cold and clouds for the last month of flowering when the plant needs strong sun ....any strain esp a haze won't show it's best under those conditions...so why not just grow strains that are ideal for your area?..talk to local growers, search around on icmag, start a thread, plan ahead and grow 4 or 5 choices that are a "for sure" for Colorado and then a have a go at a couple that are maybes for your area like a haze hybrid..that's my advice.

another way is to start seeds in small pots in early Summer, tip and train them low, when the weather turn shitty, finish them indoors under a 1000 watter....and in Jan or Feb you'll be hazed

It seems you are calling me a coward. I indeed gave you and your counterpart negative karmic points for you little fight. I don´t know who strated it or whos right or wrong, but if you want to start a fight you better do it out of what i consider my space.
I am sure you wouldn´t doubt my manhood if we were face to face...

Stick to your true knowledge. You do way better giving people good advice, as you did on your last reply. No need to fight.

Best regards,

Aldous

Lets get back to that fine Colombian grown haze.....how long are you going to cure it before you burn some? Where I am we have been having beautiful weather for August. Great weather for burning a big one and flying a kite at the park.
