The Granddaddy Purple and lone Purple Erkle are gona go a few more days. I am going to give them the Full recomended 60 days, for full purple effect and more amber trichomes. I could harvest them right now, they look ripe.

My harvest scissors were itching however, and the Hashplant came down. It was snuggled in there with the Pot of Gold, I knew the hashplant could keep up with the Pot of Gold's heavenly stretch, so I let them grow together. Something weird happened this round though, the nug formation was stalled and I ended up with some sugar dipped corn kernals. I'm not complaining, gona smoke the shit out of this stuff... it's the most potent smoke I have ever grown... 2 bongrips and I'm bad twisted.

Here are some lower Pot of Gold nugs, these are about ready. I am ahead of schedual, I expected 65 days... these gona be done by 60 too... whoa dude!!




This is what happens when you don't know your strains well, and you try to put them together on the same table...(BTW.. I will trim much harder next time.... I trimmed pretty hard, and it wasn't enough... see that shit??)

Do you plan on sealing that room now? I recall reading in a thread of yours (maybe this one, maybe another one... can't remember) where you mentioned you weren't running CO2 because you felt sealing the room was too much work. Or something along those lines... BTW, how many burners did you get with that GEN-1?

I love reading and watching your grows and learning a lot from them. Can't wait to see Grow IV! Any other changes planned besides the CO2 upgrade? Still 4" cubes on slabs?

Also, when you cut out the AN additives... did you ever get around to using OverDrive? I've read many people (even many AN-haters) talk about how good OverDrive is in fattening up the buds in the last weeks.

Clowntown, Thanks man. I have not opened the box totally yet, but I think all Gen-1 come standard with 2 burners... with a possability to upgrade to 4 burners. There will be no other major changes, besides of course some strain testing. I will run 1 whole table of Pot of gold, the other table is going to be a split: Granddaddy Purple, Chocolate Chunk... 9 per light. Sealing my room is going to be a lot of work... but if I can eeek out another pound or bud becuase of CO2 (which is the goal.) then fuck it!

CO2 Gona be a rough ride, but it is the next course of education for myself. I will need to learn this proccess eventually...

Looks like you shifting to the next gear. Thanks for your help before. I was pretty stressed out, my plants were outgrowing the size of equip0ment. You gave me some straight-shooter advice. And, I am utilizing it now. Hope you can stop by, durring the holidays.

I have been researching the CAP equipment, I got the GEN2, well built equipment ! Have you seen the controllers, I like the CO2-04.

You are way ahead of me with the ventilation thing, I would like to follow you here, if you have room for one more.

Yeild looks low, but this is a new strain for me. I have seen people get some pretty respectable loads from this strain. I'll keep her around for further testing due to the amazing resin content, beautiful colors, and grape sour candy smell. I can't just toss her! (even if she yeilds pitiful!)

The differences between the tables?

AN table has mites
AN table has 2 dead Pot of Gold plants

I secretly rubbed mites all over the AN table just to fuck up the results
but really now... I don't know how this happened. Weird! The two dead plants is also pretty nutty, I couldn't tell bc of the thick canopy. Probably just unlucky, but I am still scratching my head on this one... 2 fried dead stumps.

GH table went smoothly.


Conclusions:

1) Advanced Nutrients did not improve my yeild, or my marijuana quality. One would get about the same results as your current favorite nutrient brand.

2) Because the AN products I used did not improve my yeild, or my quality, the price cannot be justified. This round of nutrients for this grow cost me nearly $500.00 for the AN side, and under $150.00 for the GH side.

3) I reckon, based on this grow, that any skilled AN grower could not "outgrow" any skilled GH, Canna, or Botanicare grower. Genetics and environment are the limiting factors here, not "special sauce."

Why do I feel the need to trash AN here an there?
Becuase they are fucking Liars. I wouldn't care if they didn't make the claims they do, but as it stands they are a dishonest company. There are many cases of good results, but at least as many cases of bad results. I could go on, but I'll cease and dissist!

Grow with what you know! Stick with it and you will be happy!

I started using some GH on a test table a couple weeks ago and have been happy with the results.

I thought you didn't even really use much of the additives besides the first few weeks because of the floatie problems? How could you come to such conclusions when you didn't even use the products? I realize the side of "made the product unusable, therefore could not use" argument but you make it sound like the additives, when used, produce no results.

Or did I miss something?

you got it about right clowntown, but I did use nearly the whole 2+ program for about 2 weeks. Shouldn't 2 weeks out of 9, show some lovin' ? Or many the serects are only unlocked when you use up the enitre bottle? ;p

Also, I did use Bigbud, Overdrive, and Fulvic throughout the grow, which is the backbone of the AN crowd's "gotta have it" high yeild kit.
I will admit... This was my first time using AN, and it was a bit rough on me. My first time using GH was like eating banana cream pie. Mmmmmm MMMMM!!!

I misunderstood; I wasn't aware that you used the BB/OD throughout the grow. I agree that those are the backbones, and if they're not showing any positive differences then I don't think it's really worth (for me) comparing the whole 2+ since I have no interest in buying that many bottles of expensive stuff.

For me, the AN base nutes are less expensive, and BB and OD are for the most part similarly priced in comparison to using GH counterparts. Not to mention a couple of extra "perks" thrown in, like free jars of their cloning gel (Clone It). I'll get to see how it turns out for me in a DWC fairly soon, short of any more serious setbacks happening.
