Hm thats strange need4weed. I think NepJam is one of the faster flowering strains by ACE.
Maybe post some pics and people can give you hints :tiphat:

Terpene looking nice and healthy man.
I hope they grow big :p

In an odd coincidence I am running Nep Jam along side C99 x Sour Diesel and what your describing definitely sounds like there is a serious problem. A plant shouldn't just stop developing flowers like that all of a sudden, but I'm not sure what to tell you as to possible causes. I assume you are running the standard 12/12 lighting? Is there anything unusual about your set up?

My C99 hybrids are actually developing a little more slowly than my Nep Jams rather than the other way around but that's probably the diesel in their genes. All in all your C99 really shouldn't be light years ahead of the Nep Jam, at most the NJ should be one or two weeks behind.

well 8 weeks of flowering have passed and everything is finished. The nep jams will go straight in the bin as there is nothing on them! in 20 years of growing i have not seen this problem before.

how come your plants were only a month into flowering 17 days ago and there now 8 weeks ? are you sure there not only 6 1/2 weeks ?:)

Hmmmm...fascinating. I consider the NepJams I have grown out to be among the most consistently beefy and productive of the several strains I have tried my hands at. Oh well...seems odd to me based on my experiences but, hey! Too bad...it's wonderful genetics. You might want to give it another shot.

It definitely sounds like something went wrong, although I have no idea what it was. I've never seen any strain just stop growing flowers at week 2. What other symptoms did the plants have other than their flowering completely shutting down at week two?

Even when you get an extremely poorly yielding strain or plant, it shouldn't just completely stop growing all of a sudden. The only time I have seen something like this happen in a garden has been with other species of plant where the roots have rotted out completely with a fungal infection.

Nep Jam defenately isn't a slouch in the production department as far as I have seen and heard. Although my current round of Nep Jam hasn't lived up to the crazy frostiness of my favorite plant form last time, the yield is still consistently solid on all of them.

Best of luck with your next grow. Hopefully you won't have the same problems next time.

Greetings need4weed,

If you have the chance please share a pic of your nepalese jam plants flowering, it would help to identify the problem. It's not normal they stop budding at half flowering.

edit: sorry, user confusion.

I think you have me confused with Need4weed. In my post I was discussing the symptoms his plants had which were rather odd.

My Nep Jams are doing fine this time even if they aren't as frosty as that Godly pheno I found last grow, they are still healthy and quite productive plants. :tiphat:

With out a doubt the best thing going for nep jam is its quality of high. 100% good times, relaxing but still in the head. Great smoke. would have sold for 3900pp if sold in lbs.
I can't agree with you more, T.
It took 2-3 months of curing, but my very Nep-leaning pheno, that finished in 9 weeks of flowering, makes for a floaty-headed mood elevator- very feel good stuff. Almost indica-like in it's laid-backness, but I was still able to do all the hiking I wanted to in the Columbia Gorge yesterday while under her spell.
http://gorgefriends.org/

Her high was mongy and bland initially after harvest, but the cure really turned things around.

Everything that I've got with Nep in it has been bumped up in priority-
rest of my NepJams
Nepal Haze (!)
Bangi Haze
VbT x NJ, OE x NJ, JohnnyBlaze x NJ crosses I made

Don't give up on all of your NepJams after one bad apple, n4w. Give the rest a go- I think you'll be glad you did.

cheers

I will second that notion. With a good cure Nep Jam has a wonderful effect. At about the 3 month mark it is some really special stuff.

Yeah I pulled just under 2 ounces off a single Nepalese Jam in a 5 gallon bucket with only 3.5 weeks of veg (with 2 weeks for germination/seedling stage) and then 9 weeks of flowering exactly. Its an ultra tasty plant, with a very light body stone to give you a tiny almost indica like buzz but then it wakes you right up and makes you want to go enjoy outdoor activities. It had a very fruity/berry scent with Skunky/Pine undertones, the flavor was very prominent of berry flavor, with pine undertones and tiny hint of lemon. The stock I grew out was the F1 Nepali leaning pheno, I think the Nepalese Jam offered now is an F3 generation is it not?

This is a question Dubi would know the answer to best but I believe I read that Nep Jam is quite a number of generations beyond F3 now. I know its one of their older strains and unlike a lot of breeders they keep working their lines.

The way you describe the effect is spot on although I've found the smells and tastes can vary from plant to plant the effect seems pretty consistent. Some are more clear than others but all seem to have an upbeat slightly dreamy sativa effect that is soothing but still mostly in the head rather than a heavy body stone.

Thanks, we are usually receiving very nice feedback about Nepalese Jam, since the very early times of our company (2005) when this strain was released for the first time.

Here's a nice Nepal Jam from seed that a happy grower wants to share with the community

Just cut down the *slightly* fatter leaved Ace NepJam of my two I currently have in flower. The pictures that follow are pure pornography. I have not been this excited to smoke something in a LONG time. The smell is fantastic - ultra sweet, honey drizzled cannabis. The size is ridiculous! The stem on this plant was a little thinner than a sharpie and the top buds are nearly the size of a pack of smokes! It was the easiest plant to trim I think I've ever had. In short, thank you Dubi! Expect to see more NepJam from me in the future, this time around they will have much thicker stems. NepJam seeds are to be hoarded!

This is my favorite shot.
