malawi. it begins to be resinous in totally absurd amounts. i can´t seem to be able to get it on "film", but calyxes are completely covered in resin.this too will stay small as most my plants, about 80 cm. some kinks to work out. real curious to see how this becomes
phxt. this is very inmteresting. about 50 cm long? but buds are good size for even larger sized plant. buds start to foxtail a bit, and resins are bountiful. i have rooted clone of this and i´m curious to see how it will grow.
vb x thai #4. longest of these, +1m, spearhead type mainbud, good resins, same as #3 in structure. in front right,#3 back left,#2 front center(real small)
You are finding great phenos in all the strains: the early Nepal Jam with high flower/leaf ratio, the orangy resinous Panama pheno and the pinkish Panama as well, Malawi is also producing good amounts of resins since early flowering and the VB Thais look great in early flowering too.
I'm glad you are also enjoying Congo since she started to show her aromas and resins. The only one that surprises me is the early Purple Haze Thai, usually they react slower, more like your second PHT.
Did the problem with the main leaves improve lately?
Thanks for all the updates, i appreciate a lot all the time you take to share your progresses. Kind regards!
there really are wonderful expressoins of all the strains of yours. especially panama and malawi i´m thinking to order breeders pack to closer scrutiny. also females of at least 10 pack of golden tiger + some fems. malawi is more resinous than gt, but gt has even better growth pattern/habit. of course my experience with these is very limited, but they are such a wonderful strains. also i want to find out all the phenos of panama,it clearly is very worked on strain. congo is and has always been real beauty. great scent and appearance, and good resins. short and fast phxt is bit mystery, but again in a good way, other is almost exactly how i envisioned the strain. nepal jams are drying/curing for 2nd week. taste is better and hay smell is gone, but it has ways to go. and vbxts are already impressive. 1 kali china fem and 2 zamal hashes have germinated today so even more ace goodness is on their way.leaves are in same condition still. co2. or lack of it? buds are in good shape. i rig co2 generator tomorrow. i like to try to document plants whole life cycle to some extent. edutainment. not only good, bad and ugly too.
couple of things i have stumbled on to with my ace strains, and with leds.first. first ace strain i had is golden tiger. started them at march. one was female, and it preflowered for 7 weeks on 12/12 . but that time i had 1 120w led panel for 4 plants and it was almost enough for 1 plant. from that experience i thought i get more panels and reduce daytime to 11 h to reduce preflower. i don´t yet know how much time it takes my GT clone till 1st pistils, but not likely 7 weeks this time. and second. panamas and malawi started flowering more rapidly than i thought, one phxt too, so they didn´t get to veg enough, hence small size. ones with longer preflower grew larger. so maybe i´ll start flowering from 12/12, reduce it gradually from there. also maybe cfls on the side(seems to work fine for some). not much news. hybrid thing starts to kick in congo. buds mature in good pace. malawi is SUPER resinous, i forget it for second and see it and think it´s ravaged with mold, then remember it´s just resin.
vietnam black thais. good progress, better resins. quite amazing resins in 4-5 weeks, started flowering and were repotted in different times. very beatiful structure and leaves.one on 2nd pic has peculiar floral clustering.
Malawi! i easily understand the fuss about this. there´s something about the resin on this. shear mass of it. heavy. this don´t get too big but thats on me. breeder´s pack awaits. still have one batch on its way but after that it´s tent full o´malawi. this is worth of epic poem.
