Hey Guys,

i just got back from the BlueCaveCastle, it is a nice chilled out place...
i was up at 6 most mornings with a big joint and big cup of fresh bluemountain coffee, sat in the cave on the bottom right of the castle getting blasted....

One problem is there are too many Crackheads on anyone and everyones case for some $$$$$$$$, at $100 jamaican roughly 80p for a rock, no wonder there are so many crackheads.. thats the only thing that pissed me off...., but it was nice and secure at the BlueCaveCastle, a nice cool place to smoke n chill out!

MrNevermind, i passed on your regards to Elvis..
i had a good chat with him, i ended up picking about 2oz from him.. pretty good stuff...., Thanks again for your advice!

For the bubblebags, we ended up going up Orange Hill to try n' score a pound of the best we could find... we spoke to and smoked with quite a few farmers...
and ended up getting a pound of really nice weed....
and had to avoid a police roadblock on the way back along west end road!!
We left the weed out in the AirCon overnight to try and crisp it up a bit, the next day it took 3 of us 4 1/2 hours to break it all up,
hard work when its HOT!!! we did have quite a few smoke breaks tho!
we ended up with roughly 20grams of Jamaican Bubble...
from doing 2 runs through the 5 gallon bubblebags the nicest grade turned out to be from the 25 bag...
It fucked us all up, even put our new Rasta friend on his arse too!!! we had a Blast!
ill post some pics when, i get my pics sorted out!..

we ended up picking another pound from the same farmer the next day so we had plenty to smoke for the rest of our holiday!!..., we left about 2 oz with the couple who were in the room next too us!

Hey man, glad you had a good time.BCC isnt a top notch resort, but its a small comfy private place and i like it. No kids, no families getting married usually just couples looking to hang out and have fun. You gotta admit.. smoking a spliff and sitting on the ledge watchig the sunset at BCC is a great time. Pictures dont do it justice.

Glad Elvis was able to help and that you had all the smoke you need.

Dude, the first night my girl and i were there we actually slept outside at BCC. we just got 2 of those long lounge chairs and put em together, sat out, smoked and listened to the water. Got woken up by helo making blue mountian coffe right before sunset.

It is hard once you get back to your home. SO used to jamaica time ( or lack there of) and the relaxed nature. then when you get to airport home all the hustle really gets to ya. Glad you stocked up on coffee, that always helps make you feel better. Bringing a part of JA back home with ya. Plus you get to drink a very expensive coffee at home for cheap now. athey sell blue mountian here for like $50 a pound. down there i end up getting 5-10 pounds . depending on where you get it and how much you can end up with it for like 5-10 a pound. Get a years worth while youre there is how i see it

Loss of Sea Grass

Loss of Sea Grass

Hey Now, When I see any threat to Negril Beach,I get excited. In today's Daily Gleaner:

Losing paradise - Negril's beaches eroding
published: Sunday | August 5, 2007

It's probably Jamaica's finest: sparkling, fine white sand and dazzling orange sunsets, all year long. Welcome to the beaches of Negril, one of Jamaica's most natural tourist resorts, boasting seven miles of sand along parts of the coastline of Westmoreland and Hanover.

It's irie paradise to many, but years of use by locals and tourists, and natural occurrences are now taking their toll upon one of the island's most prized possessions. Negril's beaches are eroding rapidly, environmentalists perceive; much of it is due to storm surges, but also significantly to human activity.

"People in Negril argue that it's been gradual reduction over time, but our data seem to suggest that it's more due to Hurricane Michelle, and then Mitch and a whole bunch of them rapidly," says manager of coastal zoning and watershed management at the National Environment and Planning Agency (NEPA), Ainsley Henry.

Hurricanes and storms, which have mainly affected the south coast, have been eroding the beaches, he underscores, as heavy winds create storm surges that drag sand from the beach into the marine environment.

No replenishing

Over time, the sand should have been replaced naturally, but there have been so many storms in such a short period oftime, not much replenishing has taken place.

"Unfortunately the sand is in the marine environment, and worse, if it's gone over the edge, that sand becomes lost," says Henry.

But storm surges caused by hurricanes aren't the only things responsible for the erosion of Negril's beaches. According to Henry, tourism has been a significant contributor.

"In Jamaica, in tourist places, we seem to believe that tourists all want perfection, for the soft white sand stretching as far as the eye can see and absolutely nothing in the water except for the water itself," he says.

Shrinking of seagrass

Some hotels, particularly large all-inclusives, have been guilty of removing seagrass beds from the ocean - a principal source of white sand for Negril beaches. They contribute somewhere in the region of 40 per cent of sand in Negril, studies show.

"If you look at aerial photos over the last couple of years ... you will see that there is a gradual shrinking of the seagrass area in Negril and that is a part of the reason why the sand budgets have shifted," Henry explains.

While hotels aren't the only ones guilty of removing seagrass beds, NEPA has been putting in measures to ensure the seagrass remains where developments emerge on the beach.

With new hotel developments, for example, while NEPA allows for some seagrass to be removed, the removal is not absolute, Henry points out. Hotels must relocate the seagrass to another section of the beach. Non-compliances constitutes a breach under the Beach Control Act.

We all will agree Negril with out grass, would be a terrible change! :rasta:

Sad report from JA

Sad report from JA

Hey Now, I love Jamaica, too much mon, so when I see a good story from there I post it here. This morning in the daily gleaner I saw a real sad story.

This little boy wails in anguish on hearing the news that a close relative of his was allegedly killed by the police. The increasing number of persons killed by cops under questionable circumstances has renewed calls for an independent body to be established to investigate extra judicial killings. - File

The year 2007 is quickly becoming the deadliest since 1983 for civilians who have died by the police gun, with 196 deaths so far into the year - a rate of 22 people each month. This is despite renewed training in the use of force over the past year to bring the number of cases of police excesses down.

As herb lovers we all love this Island in the sun, but what fun is any all inclusive resort if the simple people outside the walls are being shot down,
sure take the buzz out of the finest lambsbread spliff.
