Need tips on Nevilles Haze from Female Seeds co

I have been at this for some time- but with Indica dominant strains. Looking forward to growing some sativas. (Neville's Haze -Acopulco Gold) Going to start with the Neville's.

600 watt closet grow (3 1/2 feet X 2 1/2 x 8 foot ceiling only 6 foot or so of grow height with the light and filter)

soil grow - GH nutrients.

I have read and researched and it seems that this is going to be quite different than what I am accustomed to.

Questions:

Should I start under 12/12 or veg for a week and then switch - I am feeling height might be a concern.

If I go into flower so early what schedule should I follow with the nitrogen - should I stop when the light flips or when vegetative ends and flowering starts?

I am assuming 12-14 weeks of "flower time" not just 12/12 is this correct?

Would keeping the pots smaller 3 gallon be enough or are these going to need more?

What can I expect in height on these?

I usually run 8 - 3 gallon pots and veg to about 20 inches for the indica dominant (mainly papaya - some blue dream) how many of the haze should I start with and not overrun my room - these are regular seeds - so I am planning on having to pull a male or two.

going to be starting this on the first of January and needs some guidance.

Veg for a week then flip, and prune the bottom branches off. Control stretch with pinching and phosphorous. She can go up to 14 weeks. She eats heavy. Go with bigger pots.

what should I do with nitrogen with such an early flip?
I saw a video about pruning the bottom and will do -
Should I just pinch tops - or is any other kind of training going to help with height issues?
How big of a pot do you suggest - I was keeping it small in hopes of having that control height as well.
I saw the "greenhouse seeds" video and that plant was a monster - I am not going to be able to deal with that -
I have had good luck adding Fox Farm tiger bloom in early flowering to really stop the stretch - Is that a good call?

I only grow such strains in a SCROG, otherwise its too much work maintaining the canopy.

I would use twice the pot volume than indicas.

As for Nitrogen, you need it throughout the cycle with any strain. Use grow fertilizers until buds start to buildup, which can easily take 3 weeks.

OK folks thanks much -- I am well accustomed with LST and super cropping from previous height limited grows. I will certainly be adding that to this cycle.

I will be using 5-6 gallon pots - I am assuming I should start with 2-3 plants versus my normal 8 (indicas) so the stretch and size can be managed. A little concerned with that due to non-feminized seeds - but we can get around that.

Same ferts - feed the grow ferts further into the bloom cycle than I normally would.

Going to add fox farm tiger bloom at week 3 to stop (or retard) the stretch (its really got me concerned) - I have been running such a consistent cycle with grow - height - weigth for quite some time and I am hesitant yet looking forward to getting out of my comfort zone with a stretchy haze -
My wife is looking for that old school panama red ERA taste - so I figured I would go this route and see if she likes it or if it is what she remembers - I see plenty of people trying to reproduce those old flavors and highs from when they first started the herb.

thanks for the help - and I will keep you informed - will post a couple pics of my current cycle I have going - Papaya and Blue dream. week 3 flower

Heres a secrete to control sativas n get the most outta them. .. veg her a few months till u got a mature plant... take cuttings then flower the clones.... much better then 12-12 from start... u learn the plant much better. ... imo ur never gonna get the true expression of the beast till she mature... do one more indica run while u prepare for the haze.... i grew lots of crazy sativas in my career. ... had a nevilles go for 22wks n some pure asians laos viets thai6months + ... they r a completely different beast then reg strains... workin with some south American genetics atm ... feel free to pm me ne ?s u got... im in a helpful mood...

very helpful - thanks - what should I expect in veg? - My veg room has a height issue - only about 20 inches of grow space - of course I can do some heavy training (which I am very accustomed to) but can that be done -

Veg room is a closet grow box - about 3ft/2ft 3 feet high - 150 watt MH -

plus I dont have female seeds -they are regular -

I am really looking forward to something new - and certainly a sativa!! - I can assume the harvest weight is going to be noticeably different than the indica's - certainly considering the amount of time and energy from start to finish

Thought female seeds only had feminized... but ya ur limited in veg space... id keep topping the plant as it gets taller.... bending works to but ur space u dont have room n could end up with a mess of tangled vines... it would be easier cutting excess.. one good thing bout sativas is that they are tough plants can handle some abuse well

Oops sorry - they are females from FMS
- got a few different items. It's the bohdi
Head trip. That's not female. Sorry
For the confusion on that one

Great tip Stoney

Can I control height by keeping the pot a tad small when vegging for clones? -
Of course i will be doing some training with LST and clipping the runners

really worried about these things getting out of hand. I am used to the indica's 4 footers
less than 2 foot wide - nice and tight growing pattern/structure
