I'm getting my hands into true aer growing and have a few questions. I'm building a system from a 52"x52"x7" container with holes drilled to accommodate neoprene pads. There will be a lot of holes drilled, 9 per square feet for sog growing. Nutrients will be pumped into a pvc pipe made into a square with maybe 2 extra rows in between making it a total of 4 rows with spray nozzles at 50 microns. It will then just drain down a drain hole. I'm not sure wether or not I want to drain to waste or recirculate. My question is how many spray nozzles I should use and what size pump? Also, what are some good spray nozzles and pumps for aroponic growing? Anyone seen or do a top feed system where the nozzles spray from the top to prevent the roots from clogging up the nozzles? Or how about a fool proof way to build it so the roots wont clog up the system?

Is it true that you cant do high density sog in aroponics? I can imagine the roots on some plants will be blocking the mist to roots of plants behind it.

Where did u get 9/ft^2... Or 144 per tray?

I'm just curious... Some guy was pitching this idea last week too...? Where is it coming from?

But their ain't anything fool proof bout an aero... Not at all. Very likely the most challenging method you can try with the greatest likelihood of total crop failure. And ud need a high pressure pump... Can't recall, but to atomize its like a 1000psi pump that should cost around a grand and is really loud... Special high pressure heads + lines to boot. It pricey... If ya get it to work.

If ya try... Take pics and walk us along... ;-)
