need advice on germinating seeds

i plants 5 feminzed critcal mass seeds on 8/25...i soaked in paper towels for 24hrs and when i put them in no tap root was showing.

so far, 1 out of 5 are above soil and she seems to be doing pretty well...

when should i give up on the other four and pop some more beans?

they are in solo cups of happy frog cut with perilite. i am watering with tap water and recently put a few drops of b-1 thrive in. they are sitting under 300watt cfl and a couple small heat lamps. keeping the medium damp but not soaking wet....help!

i'll tell ya how i do it..even old seeds seem to well..first get some of those black plastic seed starting cups thingy's..they sell them at any hydro,nursery or even wally and dollar general hav'em..fill with coco, fill mister bottle with water and 1 drop of superthrive..make a small hole in the coco put seed in it mist seeds with water from sprayer bottle put in a ziplock, mist inside the ziplok to keep humid, zip it up put that on a paper plate and set atop any thing warm..i set mine on my fluros to stay warm. sat/cable boxes work but watch out they can get hot..when tails pop out n start growing throw under fluro open ziplok for air mist once in awhile to keep moist and walla your seeds will be sprouted starting to reach for the light..when they start coming out of their shellstake them out of the bag and transplant when roots r showing from the bottom..always have an excellent success rate..
to answer your question i've had old/hard to germ seeds take 7-10 days b4..fresh seeds usually pop within 24-48 hrs..good luck..

Rare, but, I've had seeds take 30 days. I wouldn't worry, yet.

30 days!!!! holy shit. that is a long time. i am on day five or 6...i believe i will give them a good 14 days and no more. i hope the others one sprout soon!!!
