I'm in a dilemma. I know this is an outdoor section and since i'm mostly an outdoor grower, maybe you can help. I have some critical plus that has been flowering under a 1000 watt HPS in 12/12 for 50 days now. This is a fast finishing strain and i've ran it before, never outdoors. I have about 2 weeks left if that of flowering but due to my security they need to be out of here by saturday morning. I would hate to harvest now, early, because i'd hate to lose alot of yield on these girls.

My question is, if I move them outdoors now, like tonight, would they finish flowering outside? I'm not worried about them hermying because even if they did they would not have time to make any seed. I have a good location for them now, I am at about 37 latitude and im pretty sure were getting about 11 hours of darkness here right now. Maybe a tad bit less. Is it worth a go?

Are you giving them light during the night now? Plants do not really like to have day and night inverted completely plus they need to adapt to real sunlight. But it sounds a bit like you have no choice anyway.

Well right now they have been in total darkness for about two days till I decided not to harvest and put them back on 12/12.

But the hours they are used to were 12 off during the day and 12 on during the night. I just wanna know if its worth it, if its not, ill do an early harvest.

Put them out and keep an eye on them. You can always chop if things get funny.

Yes you can. Look at my grow journal. I've been flowering outdoor naturally since march. Technically flowering ends outdoors in 2 weeks on may 15th on my lattitude. After that I'm not sure if it will take 1-2 weeks to re-veg for me.

As for you,

According to this thread: https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=63715

Look at the first reply in that article for hours of dark at your lat. Your days are shorter than mine by an hour and a half on may 21st. Looks like your plants might be able to flower naturally outdoors all through may :)

Also, it may not be the best to put your girls midway through flowering outdoors but I have been in the same situation, only during the Fall, where I had to finish my girls outdoors. Not ideal but it can work.

Ok thanks for the info guys. Looks like your right, I have no choice lol and I dont guess it could hurt as long as I keep an eye on them. Will more than likely move them out tonight and keep you fellars updated!

I once moved growing plants outdoors in spring, way more north than you. They just stopped growing for a week or so and lost a couple of leaves. But after that everythinhg was fine.
