The reality of the matrix is that it is “a construct” meant to keep people enslaved. When Morpheus asks Neo: “What is real? How do you define real?” He is echoing Platonic thought. Further he tells Neo: “No one can be told what the Matrix is. You have to see it for yourself.” This definitely is in direct relationship to Plato’s views on the inability of language to convey truth or to free people from mental bondage.
Thus it is easy to see that Plato’s rather simple Allegory of the Cave continues to be reinterpreted and relevant to present day. Whether or not a person agrees with Plato’s definition of truth or enlightenment, knowledge of his argument can inform interpretation of art, film, and literature since references to it are still in common and quite popular use.

I have never heard of a court being cleared so a mason judge could talk to a mason defendant. I don't believe this statement to be true. Sounds like that judge should be losing his job, imo.

You paint the masons as an elitist group only ascendable by bloodlines. That may be so. But the same can be said of the oligarchs making back room deals as you described above. Please tell me again why that doesn't make you and yours part of the problem?

Afrosheep,Sso,and itisme,very poignant and relevant post,saved me a lot of typing. I agree with 98% of it. I personally believe in no church,i believe in the the sharing of ideals between my worthy friends. I would be asked to leave a church if i started asking too many questions,just the book of Daniel alone in so misunderstood by our reverands and pastors. Having been confirmed in the Lutheran church,and forced to go to church until i was around 16, religion left a sour taste in my mouth.The bible, however,did not. I marvel at all the different interpetations of the bible...truly incredible what different men and woman can take from that book.

I marvel at all the different interpetations of the bible...truly incredible what different men and woman can take from that book.

The bible is merely a human construction that has changed in its selection of works included and sources used , much was altered before 200 AD and the process continued over centuries.

Transcribed on vellum and repeatedly copied , mistakes and ommisions abound , gaps are filled in on a best guess basis , the vocabulary and structure has been dumbed down repeatedly in numerous revisions.

Not the word of god and not to be taken too seriously , grew up in Belfast amongst enougth hate to finish me with organised religion forever , and the sour taste in your mouth was a priests spunk unless you were lucky.
