Name thsee deficiencies

This is my first shot at growing, and I started these 2 early may. They have had there set of problems so far, gnats early on, some sort of fungus coating the leaves, and some mold at the base of one of them at a point. Anyway now I have some deficiencies and I'm hoping someone might be able to identify them and perhaps give me a little recommendations on what to do.

When you water the plants try to not let the water touch the stem where it meets the soil.

Increased air circulation will cut down on fungus issues.

BTW: Pics would be nice. :tiphat:

First 2 pics look like ph issues or way to much nitrogen. Leaning towards ph. Mabey cal or mg issue on the others.

It would help if you have some info such as strain , medium, indoor? Or out, nutrients? Temps and humidity would also help

If you had gnats early on you may have some lingering root problems.
And the gnat maggots could still be in your soil. Get some yellow sticky traps. They are a good indicator.
For treatment I like SNS 209 (natural). It kills gnats and fungus etc quite well. So a soil drench might be a good idea even if gnats are gone.
Unhappy roots look like deficiencies so I would start there.

The first 2 images are of a Girl Scout, Purple Erkel hybrid and the other images are of a Lemon Diesel and Girl Scout Cookie hybrid. The temp is right around 80° F most of the time, 43% RH, growing indoor. Sorry but what is medium? I have been feeding them about the same things for the last few weeks, mainly fox farm products: Big bloom 4tsp, Grow Big 4tsp, Tiger Bloom 3tsp, Microbebrew .75 tsp, 15 ml of terminator (different brand of terpenes) per gallon of course.

Mushroombrew, I have not seen any gnats for a few weeks, I have some yellow sticky tape up, and have given my plant some stuff to help with root rot a few weeks back for about a week and a half.

Americangrower is that your recommendation for the first plant only or 2nd as well?
So at least for the first one bring the nutes down, and make sure to not overwater and get something like a "bacterial root inoculant"? Or something else?

yes all of them..I would buy some Gnatrol off amazon give them a heavy drench of it and just water at like 1/4 tsp per gallon. Then once pot is light I would feed them a root juice like Adv Voodoo and Alaska fish emulsion from walmart. no ferts

And no bloom ferts until flowering

So just give them some balanced water with Gnastrol and nothing added till they get light then give them those other products you mentioned? after I do the drench with Gnastrol can I just give them a mixture of the nutrients I already have on hand?

Well if you have a root juice similar to VooDoo yes. I only said fish emulsion because its cheap and will give them a nitrogen boost but you can use grow fert just lightly as soil already has ferts in it

Ok sounds like you got the gnats cintrolled.
I think you may be over feeding. Those are small plants
and theres plenty of mojo in the soil to support early growth. I suggest flushing the soil with enough water so the runoff is goes clear. Then the next time you water use 1/4 strength fertilizer.
What type of lighting do you have them under?

I have the under a "cdm t12 elite 315w/942/u/o"
I just flushed the small one, you suggest I do the same to the bigger one Mushroombrew?
I know this is simplified but to flush the plants I basically run balanced water through the pot till the runoff is clear? The runoff for the first plant is slightly brown after I dumped like 5 gallons through it.

I also use Fox Farms Ocean Forest and just like mushroombrew mentioned, you don't need to feed plants in that soil for awhile.... Let you experience guide you, but on average for me I don't need to feed for around the first 4 or 5 weeks. I was also told by some members here to make sure NOT to give so much water that it collects in the pan because I was essentially leaching out the nutrients in the soil. Once I adjusted the amount of water used, my problems stopped. Just two cents from me. Good luck, I hope you get them turned around!

P.P.

Thanks P.P. sounds like some solid 1st hand advice. Do you think I should flush the 2nd plant as well? I think it has more or less the same issue
